I buy this flash as replacement for my Olympus FL-600R. The Olympus did not get enough power compare to my Canon 600ex. But this one is perfect and it work perfectly whit my OM-D MK II The back of the flash is the same as the FL-600R. It is fully compatible with my Olympus camera. ;-)
Basically, a slightly larger and more powerful version of their much less costly model, the 360L. Given this flash's price point, I think it should have been constructed with a metal hot shoe. In which case, I would have awarded it 5 stars instead.
Used it a few times for family photos on the GH4...its a strong and reliable flash for regular indoor shooting and for a fill flash outdoors at reasonable distances. Used it to illuminate a subject that was backlit by a sunset, and it performed extremely well in this capacity. Easy to use..
This is used for personal and some professional photography. It works without a hitch. Straight forward manual.
This is a simple to use flash with the GH5. I'm using it with the Lumix 12-140mm lens f5.6, and the results are outstanding. When you bring it into post in Lightroom it's like looking at anything you shoot under a microscope.
This flash is made of really cheap plastic at the key connection point at the bottom of flash - the neck. I had it on my camera and it bumped against a bus seat lightly and broke off. I've had a Nikon flash for 10 years that is going strong.
I use two of these external flashes for real estate photography. One mounted to a Panasonic Lumix GH4, the other sits on a dedicated flash tripod. For the most part I let the auto settings on the flash do its thing.
A $, top of Panasonic's line flash with a PLASTIC mount? Come on Panasonic, why did you cheap out on this very important aspect? Similarly priced flashes from other manufacturers are properly fitted with a metal foot.Everything else about this flash works well.
