In Greek mythology, Eris is the goddess of discord, but also of emulation: In the Iliad, Zeus asked him to inspire the Greek war chiefs on the battlefield. Does this first PreSonus monitor speaker inspire home-studio owners to create perfect mixes? The answer is here...

The Five Stars is all I can really say. I've had a pair for over 2 years, they are fantastic. Tracking, mixing, no ear fatigue (keep your volume as low as you can for long sessions and consistency. IMO). Mixes translate really well from my Kitchen Studio to my car and everywhere else.
Not very loud, very small sweet spot, and when I try to push them even a little bit one of them pops super painfully loud. The concept is cool with the settings on the back and whatnot but I've had Behringer monitors that were louder, sounded better and are cheaper.
I have a small home studio, for which these are designed and serve admirably. Running through a Tascam US1800 for about a week now, here's my impression so far: -They are louder than I anticipated (I have the gain control in the back set to 1/4).
I have always been a huge fan of Yamaha and thought there wasn't anything that could even come close to matching the sound quality of my Yamaha'.s Boy was I ever so wrong! I bought these babies, got them hooked up, put on an oldie but goody tune on the turntable to hear what they sound like.
Crisp, clear mids and highs with excellent clarity. A little thin on the low end by themselves but I added a Yamaha HS8 subwoofer and the combination is perfect for my project studio. The room is about 200 square feet and these are plenty loud.
I have been using KRK Rokit4 monitors for the past 8 years and decided it was time for a change. I bought a Pair of these E8's and the Temblor 10" sub. The reason why i did not give this monitor a 5 star rating is because, i think that i got a lemon with one of the Eris E8's.
I'm a Dj and was looking for bigger monitors for my home studio.I already own Presonus Eris E5's(which I recently used at a small house party mixing reggae dancehall and hip hop with no problems whatsoever. Many attendees commented on how good the music sounded.
These monitors have superior sound quality. I use them to enhance the sound of guitar backing tracks and tutorials that I play to on my laptop computer. Easy to hook-up...You won't be disappointed.
Completely clean and transparent. Using them as "computer speakers" -- best ever. Hearing elements of songs I'd never heard before. Smaller than the Mackie MR8's. Highly recommend to pair with an audio interface like the PresSonus Audiobox 2x2 or Mackie Onyx Blackjack with *balanced* outputs and...
I played around with KRKs for a year before I had to give them back to the guy who shared them with me. I chose these because I wanted to expand my horizons on the matter a bit and they were a bit cheaper. Now I've been using these for almost two years and I have almost no complaints.
