How well the E8 compared to my near-field monitors (at several times the price) was an eye-opener. Entry-level speakers have made huge strides in recent years.
PreSonus has been known for its mixers, audio interfaces and even monitor controllers but surprisingly monitors have not been its roster. That's all changed now as the Louisiana-based company unveiled two distinct new studio monitor ranges at the NAMM show back in January.
These monitors have an excellent sound quality, High Levers Capacity without the use of external Sub. Use to replace an old Alexis MK II. Separate amps for drivers

I primarily use these for music listening in my dorm room, but because of my major I also use these for some audio mixing and editing. Slowly, Im building my own little studio, and these were a big step in the right direction.
I ordered a pair of these and they sounded fantastic, for about 30 minutes.... Then the woofer on one started popping and went out completely. I could turn it off and back on, and it worked fine for about 30 seconds, and died again so it was the amp.
I have been using KRK Rokit4 monitors for the past 8 years and decided it was time for a change. I bought a Pair of these E8's and the Temblor 10" sub. The reason why i did not give this monitor a 5 star rating is because, i think that i got a lemon with one of the Eris E8's.
These monitors have superior sound quality. I use them to enhance the sound of guitar backing tracks and tutorials that I play to on my laptop computer. Easy to hook-up...You won't be disappointed.
These monitors sound great and are perfect for home studios. They offer deep base range and excelent highs. The range offers clear crisp sound that is perfect for sonic exploration.
These speakers perform as advertised. Perfect for my small home studio. I also use a pair of small Auratone speakers to slightly enhance the mid-range just to be sure that I don't overshoot the highs when mixing.
I teach three levels of music composition at the high school level (on computers) and the students compose all genres. THESE SPEAKERS ARE PERFECT! They cover the high, mid range, and extreme low and the students faces LIGHT UP when they play their music on them.
I played around with KRKs for a year before I had to give them back to the guy who shared them with me. I chose these because I wanted to expand my horizons on the matter a bit and they were a bit cheaper. Now I've been using these for almost two years and I have almost no complaints.
These monitors are GREAT* These are great if you're just tracking/producing and are eventually send it off to someone else.** If you're trying to produce album ready / super great mixes for clients and/or submissions to artists/engineers/managers... Just save up and wait to get a better pair....
