I got these cymbals about 9 months ago, and they haven't failed me yet. The hats are almost professional sounding with a very definite chick. The crash is washy with a medium short sustain (wish it had a longer sustain, though). The ride is OK.
These are thick, and heavy. They are going to cost me a fortune in excess baggage to take back to Australia. They are heaps cheaper in the UK. The aforementioned son smashed the last lot to tinfoil, I don't think he'll do the same with these. I suspect they will be very noisy.
I got theses cymbals about a week ago and I love them. They are the perfect cymbals for the beginner. By far my favorite cymbals are the hi-hats, which I have absolutely no complaints about, but the ride cymbals could be a bit less washy. No real problems, though.
These cymbals sound amazing!! The crash DOES have a very long decay and is really loud. The ride has a clean cutting sound, and the hi-hat has an amazing sizzle sound and a clean, short "chick".
I've been drumming for about 8 months and decided to upgrade from my original cymbals to something new. First is the price, it's priced good for quality of sound, but falls short of excellent. The only cymbal I don't like is the crash. It can't compete with the volume the rest of my band puts out.
