I reviewed this system shortly after I bought it. I am an extremely sensitive listener. I have put together quite a few systems during my life waiting for something like this. I'm adding this review to the one I made after I purchased because after 2 years or so of listening to it I am totally...
Good Quality product. Performance wise fantastic. I bought Boss Lifestyle 650 before but not happy. after extensive research i found this product and its fantastic performance in terms of sound, features and quality of product. Price is good. I really like the product.
Easy setup. Sounds great. I really Like the Bluetooth feature, you can turn it on with Bluetooth but I don't know how to turn it off with Bluetooth. My TV console has limited space to fit the receiver height wise, so I had to remove the feet and shim up to allow air flow.
This system is the best bang for the buck, by far. Onkyo is excellent, I have another Onkyo TIB system and it's been solid for years. The only slight minus is that it only has 1 optical input, and 2 coaxial inputs, should be at least flip-flopped, but can be easily mitigated with an optical switch.
I had to wait for some time to get one of these great systems. It was worth the wait. After getting it mounted, my wife and I sat down with the 3D projector and it was great. No need to go to the theater anymore. The sound is terrific, setup was a snap and we are enjoying it immensely.
if your setup is a few years old you might not have any problems. it's advertised as future proof, but only has one port that supports hdcp 2.2. you need that to pretty much watch anything 4k today, so that's a pretty big deal.
Just got this surround sound & set it up yesterday. EASY to set up (didn't wait on my husband to do it..lol) and the sound is fierce!! Subwoofer is booming loud (has a knob to adjust bass on the back). Shakes the couch! Movies sound fantastic.
Warning: avoid. Not ready for prime time. Very, very buggy. I really wanted to like this, but it has more than a few problems:- 1. Nonexistent manual and poor troubleshooting. 2. Painful setup compared to Bose or Kenwood. 3. Huge and heavy: old school technology. 4.
This is the second Onkyo system I've owned and just like before I wasn't disappointed, for the money this system is hands down in a class all by itself.
So far we are loving it. Set up is easy!
