Onkyo HT-S3800 5.1-Channel Home Theater Receiver/Speaker

The sound is amazing. The 4K passthrough is a great feature to have. This model has a very basic UI where you can control audio settings. I have an AppleTV 4K hooked up to a Sony TV and then to the Onkyo unit. This allows me to control the Onkyo unit’s volume with the TV or AppleTV remote.

It has doubled the amount of hdmi ports I can use in my entertainment lounge. Excellent quality sound. Lots of clear bass that doesn’t rattle when turned up too loud. Should definitely buy stronger gauge wire as the included wire is so flimsy.

I currently have a pioneer system in the living room I paid around 500 for. This sounds exactly the same at half the price 250. Great sound. If your looking for great sound at this price I would so recommend this system over any sound bar.

Seems to hit the hotspot on bargain pricing. The speakers are very clear and the surround sound is very nice for movies and gaming. Can use the receiver for a variety of things (Due to multiple HDMI ports), one of the many reasons i bought this product when compared to similarly priced competitors.

Though this is a great set for small places, the sound is anything but small. Easy to setup and menus that are easy to navigate. The only reason why this is getting 4 out of 5 stars is that the description claims that this set has HDR play through, however the TV (4K/HDR) used does not detect it.

I purchased this system for my basement with the idea that it will get very limited use (couple times every few weeks). I didn't need a top of the line system but the reviews seemed decent for the price point. I purchased in october of 2017.

... and more than enough power for home use.

this item is great for a few months after that its just a junk piece of crap sitting on your tv set without working, be very careful trying to buy this item
