The Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III gets a lot of things right. It produces great images, is packed with fun and genuinely useful features, is well-built and beautifully designed, and above all, fun to use and take control over.

-
Those that photograph demanding sports and peak action and those that need a more full-featured video experience.
The Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III is an appealing camera for photographers already invested in Micro Four Thirds gear, but it isn't as innovative as previous entries in the series.

Plastic body is a step backward, Low-resolution viewfinder, No truly new features or tech
We’ve waited a long time for this camera, a model which has Olympus's latest sensor, autofocus and camera features but without the big and bulky body of the E-M1 Mark II. So was it worth the wait? Oh yes.

+
Small size, Latest 20MP MFT sensor, Excellent in-body stabilization, Weatherproofing, Clever Live Composite mode and more

Bottom Line The Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III is an appealing camera for photographers already invested in Micro Four Thirds gear, but it isn't as innovative as previous entries in the series.
Stylish, lighter than ever, and crammed with shooting modes for users of all skill levels, power under the hood and improvements across the board, the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III is a sensible upgrade.

No AF-point joystick, Raw image quality lags behind its peers, Many advanced features are buried in menus, Users with large hands may find the grip too cramped, No AF-point joystick, Raw image quality lags behind its peers, Many advanced features are buried in menus, Users with large hands may find...
It's hard to argue with the E-M5 Mark III's combination of features and portability – no other camera of this size offers the same mix of in-body image stabilisation, an articulating screen and weather-sealing.
I just decided to buy an E-M5 III as a replacement for my E-M10 (first gen) on an upcoming vacation I'll be taking. I've had the E-M10 for about 5 years and its been a wonderful companion in that span of time. As such, my opinion of the E-M5 III is relative to that camera.
Unable to designate metering modes to function button but really I'm splitting hairs. Otherwise the perfect camera, easy to carry around, packed with features and access to a great system. The 12-40 f2.8 pro and the 40-150 f2.8 pro are truly outstanding.

Durable, Great Features, Great Picture Quality, Lightweight, Simple Controls
Having tried bulky digital SLRs, and then mobile phone cameras, I realized I was missing lots of great pictures due to equipment I didn't want to lug around and/or that was really best-suited to selfies or mediocre-quality internet access.
Here’s my review of the Olympus EM5.3 camera. Most aspects of this camera are already covered by reviews of the Olympus EM1.2 since it's essentially the same camera in a smaller package. First some background on myself. I am an amateur photographer with 10+ years photography experience.
