Installed this in a 2012 MacBook Pro Retina. If you are comfortable nosing around inside electronics, this job is pretty straightforward. Watch the OWC installation videos and follow them step by step and you shouldn't have any problems. Just be extra careful not to lose any of the tiny screws.

Installed this drive in my 2012 MacBook Pro with Retina display and it just crapped out on me, wouldn't even boot. Not even 3 months! Lost ALL of my files from the past year. I think Im about to pull my hair out. Overpriced compared to other SSDs as well.
I actually need to update my review. When I received the Aura and Solid State Drive I found the box to be confusing as it was labeled for the Aura without a clear indication that the drive was also in the box. I therefore gave a negative review.
