A fantastic upgrade to my 2009 iMac. It was top of the line in 2009, but was feeling a little wheezy in 2016. This really helped make this machine useful again.
This works perfectly as a replacement to my mid-2009 Macbook Pro's aging hard drive. My laptop definitely starts up, opens applications, and functions much faster. It doesn't hold a lot, but I keep all my music on an external HD and all my work documents on Google Drive, so it was perfect for me...
This was a big boost for my Old early 2008 Mac Pro. But I was disaponted because these use to be made in the USA so I thought thats what I was getting and was happy to pay more for but, NO they are made in Mexico so close but no cigar. Also I thought it was coming Mac ready but no it was PC.
Purchased to replace failing hard drive. Satisfied with SSD so far. My iMac seems to boot up a bit faster. I cannot speak to a measurable improvement in file management (reads/writes) yet.
Royal pain in the @ss getting a mac to "see" the drive. Had to buy a enclosure and put OS X on it first Your mileage may differ.
great ssd, wish i had the money for the 1tb!
This SSD saved me a lot of money, I was considering buying a new MBPRO but decided to give a chance for my mid 2010 MacBook Pro. When I bought it was the top spec with 2.8Ghz i7, 8Gb ram and the feature I love the most, a higher resolution matte screen.
It work as advertise. I replace original iMac 2009 has drive with this one. iMac has a significant boot time and performace improvement. It feels like a new computer. The only complain is the price...quite high compare to other for same size.
Great product. Put this in my 2008 iMac and it runs faster than most new machines!
Fit and function are excellent. Breaths new life into 10 year old MacBook Pro.
