The Nikon F6 is a well-reviewed 35mm SLR film camera with a lot to offer. The F6 has an excellent 11-area autofocus system and 3D Color Matrix metering for sharp, colorful images. Since it's compatible with Nikon's most popular lenses, including the AF-S series used on their digital cameras, the F6...
I bought the F6 because I still enjoy using film for certain situations. I use Film and Digital, Oil, Acrylic, and Watercolor too. The F6 is nice because it has the same controls (almost) as my Nikon digital cameras, and the lenses are interchangeable. My Flash units work with all cameras too.
Strength: 100% viewfinder (gorgeous!) data imprint in between frames spot metering capabilities dampened mirror vibration accepts most Nikkors (and now Zeiss!) just the fact that it was released at all!
It is difficult to really review a product of such precision design and elaborate features in a brief statement. I have been using Nikon for over 45 years and is never disappointed on the quality and operational features of their products satisfying serious user like myself.
This film camera has most of the features fond on digital but uses film.If you still shoot 35mm this is the camera to have.Another benefit is my flash for digital cameras works with this film camera,so no need to maintain two sets of speed lights.
An absolutely solid camera with exceptional features. Easy to adjust to when coming from older, manual SLRs. Quiet and reliable operation with consistently perfect performance. Good battery life, premium autofocus, expsure metering is astounding. Never any bad results. Just..
This camera is crazy impressive for me, coming from a Canon AE-1P and a Minolta Maxxum XTSI. I'm a photo major and this camera is absolutely paralyzing. From the moment I first saw the autofocus snap into play and the shutter click and film advance..I was in love.
Love this camera. Best SLR camera ever produced by any company.
The Nikon F6, paired with a few classic Nikkor lenses, seems to strike a good balance between a high performance film SLR and a camera that still possesses the charm and interestingness of its predecessors.
I had most of the Nikon's film cameras and the F6 is closing the Nikon SLR family as the king ! It works great with the new Nikkor AF-s lenses. I use it with Fuji Velvia 50 (you need fast lenses). The only complain I have about the camera is the back LCD, way too small !
35mm film is still king !
