As Nikon’s DX product lineup completes a transition that sees it return a full circle to where it was in 2008, the D7500 finds itself in a slightly awkward position. On one hand, it is the most capable camera the series has ever seen, with significant speed improvements and refined ergonomics.

For enthusiasts who are excited by the D500 but didn’t want to spend the high asking price it commands, the Nikon D7500 is a great alternative. With it, you almost get a mini D500, especially given that it uses the same sensor and processor combination.

The D7500 is an outstanding stills camera and a refinement of an already excellent DSLR. It brings added speed and buffer depth to the enthusiast level and adds improved subject recognition.

So far, there is nothing I dislike about this camera. I upgraded from a D7100 (and I'm saying upgraded because, contrarily to what some people may erroneously think, it is an upgrade). I too read some negative feedback, mainly about the single card slot versus 2.

I am now going into my 3rd week with the Nikon D7500. It is everything I wanted and more. I have owned Nikon since back in the day with my Nikkormat. I shoot mainly Portraits and Landscapes. And have been using the D3X and D3S.

I have had this camera for just about two weeks and it is a really good camera but there are a few drawbacks and issues to note.1st. - Note that the batteries from the Nikon D7200 do NOT work in this camera. Not the original or aftermarket ones either. Those are the EN-EL15 batteries.

I wanted a powerful camera but not overwhelmed. I am new to photography and was able to find the perfect balance here. I watched all the tutorials about the camera and it work just as advertised. One of my favorite features so far is the SnapBridge. Quickly transfers photos to my phone and computer.

Before I start, these are simply my own impressions. I was once a professional photographer way back in the days of film and photographed over 600 weddings, as well as sports teams and schools. Nowadays I am just an amateur who sells prints once in awhile.

I think it is the best crop sensor camera. The results are great and it has many features including mirror up and tilt screen.

I'm very impressed with the D7500. The images are tack sharp with great resolution and the 4K video is very good, especially when played on a 4K monitor or TV. Its light and for the most part has the same menu settings and arrangement as the older Nikons.

I am a casual photographer. I shoot mostly landscape and travel photography. I use Lightroom 6 and a Canon Pro 100 large format printer. My previous camera was a Nikon D50 bought in 2005.Prior to my purchase I did quite a bit of reading and watching video reviews as well.

I only recently have taken up photography. My first camera was the Nikon D50 which I upgraded to the Nikon D 7500. One might think that is quite an upgrade and it is. However, while I am in the process of learning the "bells and whistles" of the D7500 it's not too daunting, but I must admit a...
