The DX 18-55mm II is the most basic Nikkor kit zoom for Nikon DSLRs. It has the shortest optical zoom of the four models tested and the lowest build quality. It also has a rotating front section which can prove annoying for users of polarising filters and doesn’t come with a lens hood.

I was looking for my first lens for my Nikon D200, and I wanted to start with something for wider shots and shorter distances. It's brand new and exactly what I was expecting. It works perfectly, and I'll be ordering one for longer distances soon!
Easily Interchangeable, Lightweight
Poor in Low Light
I'm still getting used to shooting with this lens, but have been very happy so far. I bought it mainly for the lower end 18mm. I can't wait to test its portability in other settings. I imagine indoor settings would work perfectly for this along with other places with tight corners.
fantastic.. orignal product..
The AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55 VR II lens is truly a step up for Nikon's latest, high resolution cameras. Having owned and used a number of Nikon lenses, I'm happy to have this lens with me wherever I go. For family events and travel it's especially ideal on my D3300 body.
I thought this was the same lens that comes with the camera. It is not. It is actually smaller. Not sure if it is better or worse than the original at this point
Being a student involved in photo i purchased this hoping for professional results. I was not diassapointed.
Superior quality over competitors gives this camera a certain edge.
High cost is always a con...but the quality is there
