The AF-S FISHEYE NIKKOR 8-15mm f/3.5-4.5E ED lens is a workhorse. The front and rear elements have Nikon’s protective Fluorine coat, which lets grime and liquid roll right off the lens. The lens barrel is dust and moisture resistant for shooting in challenging conditions.

Although fisheye lenses are of a specialised nature, clearly there is a demand as there are so many available, at all price levels. However, there are very few fisheye zooms and even fewer lenses that offer the choice of a circular 180-degree image or a full frame 180-degree on the diagonal image.

The fish-eye or ultra wide angle look is quite extreme and stylised, and is therefore unlikely to be something you want to use for every shot. However, when used with certain subjects, it’s a very interesting look which can be very effective.

The 8-15Fish is a gorgeous lens at 15mm! Love the flexibility and fun this lens brings to my photography!

Not obvious until you use this lens is that you are getting a ultra wide angle 10-15mm zoom lens as well as an 8mm true fisheye lens. The clever removable hood allows for this transition from an ultra wide to a fisheye lens.

I have only wanted a fisheye lens for about 50 years. Don't wait that long folks, now that Nikkor has produced this little jewel of a zoom. I have only just begun to experiment with it. It's going to be fun to use indoors & out.The front element requires careful handling.

This lens opens a completely new area for creativity. With the distortion of lines inherent in the design of this lens, I am looking for how many ways I can create new and interesting compositions and branch out from the normal nature and documentary photography I am used to.

I am very pleased that Nikon has recently introduced the 8-15mm Fish-eye Zoom lens. This is a great lens to have on your full-frame camera. I used the Nikons first 180-degree fish-eye lens in 1966 and have been a follower of these images for decades.

This design is easy to use and versatile in its application. The color accuracy and dynamic range are excellent.I bought the new fisheye to replace the DX fisheye 10.5mm f2.8 that I've had for 10 years.No regrets. The new fisheye is excellent.

This lens is what i have been waiting for. I love my 16mm nikkor. After using this lens i was blown away with the sharpness and the ability to focus so very close. If you have been thinking about purchasing this lens don't wait get it.

Instead of carrying my beloved fisheye Nikkors 8mm f/2.8 (huge size and circular image) and the 16mm f/3.5 (full frame) I can now carry only this one that provides both kinds of fisheye images.Very well built, except for the plastic hood/cover that may become loose with wear.

This lens is more fun than a barrel of monkeys on speed! It adds a whole new order of magnitude to the fun you can have with a camera and, for me anyway, that's what it's all about. The blue tinge at the circumference is a bit of a nuisance but fish live under water, don't they?
