It's a Nikon, what can I say! Actually, the reason I like the Nikon CPL filters so much is that they are easy to turn (I've had B&W and Hoya that are very stiff), they don't cause a color shift in the White Balance and they are very thin so they work well on my Nikon 16-35mm lens.
It works like any other polarizer I've used, really boosting the contrast between sky and clouds, cutting many types of reflections, and making colors more saturated. It does not negatively affect the auto-focus like a standard non-circular polarizer does.
it gives pleasing, deep and rich blue color to sky. and absorbs the over exposed lighting from clouds, so it gives that pop out 3d look to them
Used for 70-300mm VR, when needed. (B+W UV is the always-on protection filter)Adequately strong polarizer effect, front piece easy to rotate yet still not too tight.Anodized Aluminum frame feels less sturdy than B+W's brass frame. Sometime it is difficult to dismount.
Highly recommended accessory for shooting outdoors in bright sunlight. It is a 'Must' accessory. Colors are move vivid, reflections are decreased and detail is better. I'm going to get one of each size to match my lenses.
Wouldn't put a cheap, knock off, filter on a quality lens.
Easy to use, nice polarizer. Looking forward to years of use.
Great for toning down reflections. Perfect for blue skies!
A Circular polarizing filter gives you the option of adjusting the degree of light to be filtered without changing the layout of the camera.(i.e. horizontal to landscape and vice versa) A simple a simple rotation of filter can change a hazy sky to blue without distorting the color.
This Nikon 67mm Polarizer II filter uses optically flat glass that does not add much aberration to the photo. Here is the Southwest where we have lots of sunshine, it is sometimes important and when the light is just right, the polarizing filter is a must.
