Chromebooks aren't just the default laptop you get when you only have $250 to spend. The time where Chromebooks fit into that small box has passed, and the Pixelbook Go adds to what is becoming a large subsection of Chromebooks that are designed for demanding work primarily done in a browser or...

Thin-and-light, minimalist design., Comfortable, backlit keyboard., Good performance., Base model has 8GB of RAM., Increased battery life when compared to original Pixelbook., More affordable starting price when compared to original Pixelbook.
-
-
Glare-filled screen., 16:9 screen aspect ratio., No fingerprint sensor or pen support., No microSD card., Too expensive for what you get past the base model.
In the end, even at the lower ($649) price point, you're still paying a premium for a device with somewhat limited functionality in the Pixelbook Go, at least currently. It's the nature of Chromebooks.

+
Solid build, excellent fit and finish, Great battery life, Runs Android apps, multitasks better, More affordable Pixelbook, Dead silent, 100GB of free Google One storage for a year
-
-
Lacks biometrics and SD card slot, Still pricey compared to other Chromebooks, No LTE connectivity
The Google Pixelbook Go is a mid-range Chromebook from Google that costs more than most other competitors in the market. If you value design and performance over cost, then you will find plenty to like here.

+
Slim, light design, Good keyboard, Quick performance, Excellent speakers, Good battery life, Decent screen
-
-
Limited ports, Pricey upgrade options, Limited colors
Unlike a chest of gold in the movies, the Pixelbook Go may not cast a honeyed glow on your face when you open the lid, but the keyboard you find waiting inside is no less precious.
-
+
Sublime keyboard, Sturdy, premium metal construction, Solid battery life, Chrome OS is increasingly powerful
-
-
Expensive for a Chromebook, 4K display limited to the most pricy configuration, No fingerprint sensor, No expandable storage
Ten days ago Google announced the Pixelbook Go to fill out its Chromebook line so we now have a Chromebook laptop, tablet, and convertible with prices starting at $649. For the past week, I have been using the Pixelbook Go as my primary computing device on the go; taking it on the train, on a plane,...

Sleek, modern fit and finish, Full desktop browser, Long battery life, Fast charging capability, 3.5mm headset jack

-
More expensive than non-Google Chromebooks
The Pixelbook Go is a beautiful laptop, and its typing experience is unparallelled, building on the already solid foundation the original Pixelbook's keyboard provided
-
+
Great looking, Battery life is impressive, Responsive and snappy
-
-
Expensive, Ridged base looks weird, Chrome OS remains limiting
This was our experts' pick for travelers thanks to up to 12 hours of battery life and the ability to get 2 hours of life from just 20 minutes of charging. In addition, the ridges on the textured bottom make it easy to grab and go.

Long battery life, Secure Chrome operating system

Limited to Chrome-friendly software
Google’s new Pixelbook Go is the ultimate Chromebook for anyone that doesn’t want to spend a grand on Google’s previous Pixelbook. Its astonishing battery life and amazing keyboard are just two of this Chromebook’s selling points, and it has very few downsides for both average users and dedicated...

Incredible battery life, Amazing ‘Hush’ keyboard, Rare 1080p webcam, Excellent design
-
-
No biometric login, Iffy pricing at mid- to- high-end
Strikes the perfect balance between performance, portability and usability – the Pixelbook Go is brilliant

Brilliant keyboard, Amazing battery life, Lightweight and slim

-
Viewing angles aren’t great, A touch expensive, Only uses an 8th gen Intel CPU
Nimble, lovely to use and great looking, the Pixelbook Go is speedy and has a battery that lasts all day. It might still be a bit more expensive than other brands' Chromebooks, but it's a heck of a lot cheaper than previous Pixelbook models, which we think makes it a real winner.

Lovely design that's lightweight and attractive, Speedy performance, Not as pricey as previous Pixelbooks, Great keyboard

Android app support is still ropey, Trackpad isn't the best
I do not like Windows and really don't like Bill Gates, I do not like IOS and its proprietary nonsense where you can't buy things from aps because they want their little piece. I have been using Linux for the past few years but my computer was in need of replacing, so I decided to give Chromebook a...
This was such a huge upgrade from my old and more basic Chromebook. I bought this one because the cheaper ones were sold out everywhere and my old one was reaching its end of life. Although it lines me to spend the money, I have to say, so far this has been a great device for distance learning.
I love the magnesium case and the quality of the key and mouse pads. It is fast. I loaded it with a number of Android and Linux applications and have not found any that don't work. I use Darktable to edit photos in Linux. This is a big program with very extensive Lightroom like features.
don’t overthink this one! reviews might scare you, but this lil guy is great. i’m a hefty online shopping - college - youtube - multiple tabs - designing something - writing something - sort of laptop user. no issues, connection is great, faithful, compact pixelbook! worth the money.
I decided to make the switch to a Chromebook for work. I purchased Pixelboom Go with the M3 processor, which has been more than adequate for my needs, which includes document drafting, emails, document review, etc. Touch screen is very responsive and the keyboard is as good as it gets.
I bought a Google Pixelbook in 2016 and now in 2021 it has reached the end of it's life because Google will not provide any more security or software updates in line with their Auto Update Policy.
Doesn't connect to airpods
Would’ve been a great $700 spent if it had even a single USB port lmao but it doesn’t and converters don’t work w the USBC ports so I can’t use this with the printers and other things I need it for for work
This is something my husband has wanted and he loves it so far
Tight, Light, Good screen, Great touchpad feel, great battery life. . . . Should have gone Pixelbook way long before now.
