It is a Marantz, if you are into autio you know about Marantz. I am setting up an up grade surround system for movie watching and music listening in my living room. Going to "spare no expense" on this system.

Awesome receiver......if you don't have any problems. First tear support has you recycle the units (router and AVR) and if that doesn't work they want you to ship in in for repair. I figured out the problem while on the phone, after refusing to send it in for service.

This receiver has it all! I can tell a huge difference between my old receiver and this one. The sound quality is so clear. Every little nuance is there now that was missing. Next Martin Logan Electrostatic speakers.

Outstanding AVR. A snap to setup. Sound is clean with an excellent sound field. iPad app works flawlessly. I also get the distinct impression that my video clarity is improved. If you can afford this unit buy it.

Absolutely GORGEOUS performance from this Marantz Flagship receiver which by the way is second to NONE! I have owned with just about every flagship AVR out there but this one is just outstanding and is has a much better sound quality, build quality, beauty, video quality etc... then the rest.

The SR8012 has the warm,smooth, Marantz sound for instrumentals and vocals. The richness, air, sustain, silence and clarity are all present and accounted for. What I am extremely happy to report, is the attack, speed and clean power that this thing pumps into surround soundtracks!

Beautiful, rich sound. Replaced a high-end Onkyo and have been pleasantly surprised with the performance! Highly recommend!
