Some years back, I had a friend who worked for one of the major TV manufacturers, and he complained to that when 3D started appearing on televisions, reviewers were reviewing the 3D technology instead of the display itself.
Marantz’s SR6014 proves that an A/V receiver can deliver both great music performance and the latest home theater audio formats, all at an affordable price.

Limited custom installation features, Non-backlit remote
This superbly specified nine-channel AV receiver is a storming home cinema performer. Your neighbours might not love it quite as much as you will, though.
Still learning how to use it but an excellent receiver. The biggest downside for the money is the built in options for internet is limited. Otherwise, I like it. If you are looking for a receiver with greater flexibility in sound reproduction and online options you might want to choose something a...

Pretty straight forward setup, excellent sound.

Conforms to current trend of no manual included except that which is preloaded on the receiver or found online. The manual online is not easily found. I still prefer a printed manual.
Having owned this for just a week this may be premature but I have to say that I'm very happy with the receiver so far. It's replacing an older Harman Kardon that was 75 watts per channel and it felt way more "punchy", especially bass.

Seems very well built, flawless operation of all operations, easy to use

Limited bass and treble adjustments, lacks "punch".
Switched from Onkyo to Marantz, finally foregoing years of loyalty to Onkyo. So far, I've been pleasantly surprised. After getting used to the slight user differences, I can honestly say the sound is remarkable. Much more dynamic than the Onkyo.
Overall I like the SR6014 a lot. It has every connection possible and decodes every audio format available currently. The power is good at (110w/channel @ 8ohm) as long as you aren't driving power-hungry speakers. For my setup I will be adding a Marantz 7025 power amp soon for 2 ch. listening.

I like the "virtualization" feature to simulate Atmos ceiling speakers. Audyssey MultEQ XT32 is great.M

Small display, no written manual.
The Marantz SR6014 is an excellent AV receiver and is highly recommended. In comparison with a similar model Integra, the 6014 lacks some features, such as: THX sound and a learning remote. The 6014's front 'porthole' information is difficult to see, as other reviewers attest.
