It might appear to be merely a masked Denon, but the Marantz SR5014 has a pleasant character all of its own

I pair the Marantz up with some old Paradigm speakers, audio from the unit is awesome. No problems driving at reference level at 6ohms either

I had a relatively old Marantz SR8002 that I loved but because of its age, it did not have HDMI or other "current" upgrades so I got this SR5014 for my wife (yes, she really did ask for it).

I bought my first Marantz product in 1978, a receiver model 2285B, and it is still going. My second, an amp ESOTEC PM-6, was purchased in 1983, and it is still going. I just moved into a brand new home and I have a built in 7.2 speaker setup.
