Marantz NR1609 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver

Marantz expands the appeal of our favourite-sounding slimline Dolby Atmos receiver with AirPlay 2 and Alexa support. A great media room contender.

I was looking for a receiver that would work for the family room. Not a huge space. Only 5 speakers and 2 for remote location. This has full control for the remote speakers allowing digital content to be heard. Has all the bells and whistles for the new speakers and internet sources that I use.

I needed a slim receiver with 2 channels and this one worked out perfectly. My second channel connects to outdoor speakers which I can now control from my phone using the HEOS or Marantz app. This is very handy not to have to go back inside to change the music, volume, etc...

Replaced my Yamaha Receiver with this only because my new entertainment center couldn’t hold the bigger sized receiver. So I purchased this one after looking for the most compact, with the features I wanted. Set up was a little weird because you had to use hdmi output.

This thing is awesome I replace my old Onkyo 12-year-old receiver which still sounds OK not bad but after having this it just blows it away it on and just about every category and This thing here brought my other speakers that came with that receiver to life

AS WE ALL KNOW MARANTZ IS A CUT ABOVE ALL OTHERS! THIS NEW MODEL 7.2 CHANNEL SLIM RECEIVER IS NOT A LET DOWN IT IS OFF THE CHART. VERY EASY TO SET UP LOOKS AND SOUNDS GREAT AND THE PRICE IS PRETTY GOOD

We love it. We have not been able to get into everything this receiver can do but it definitely can put out the sound. we have noticed things we have been missing in movies and in games, a lot in the games. It is little sounds. It worked really well with the new tv.

The only thing I was disappointed in was the remote. Most in this price range would have a learning remote for you other devices, but the quality and sound performance are excellent!

I really wanted to like this receiver. Already have the Marantz AV7704 in the family room. Purchased this unit for master bedroom. This unit looks, works, and sounds great. Small form factor perfect for my application. Connected Comcast cable box to every HDMI input on the NR1609.

Setup was a little long,but good end result. Love the hardware connections. Multiple inputs a plus.
