My photographic focus is travel and architecture. Since 2007, these legs paired with my Manfrotto ball head have served me extremely well. The quick-lock legs are the selling feature. Dealing with flip-lock levers makes me not want to use a tripod. With the quick-lock, you can set up instantly.
This is the most easy practical tripod available. So easy to set up and close down. Will accommodate almost any lens - with exception of the really large 600m etc. My only slight -and it is slight - criticism is it is not the lightest to carry around all day or take on holiday.
Compact, Easily Adjusted, Good Footing, Locks In Tight, Smooth Movement
This is so easy to use -it adjusts fairly quickly and I am really pleased with it.

A top end Tripod, which does exactly as is says in the literature, expensive, but well worth the money, so substantial it should last for a lifetime.

My original review is probably someplace among the reviews. I bought it five or six years ago and have been loving it ever since. I have five tripods. One is much taller (and heavier) than this one.
Innovative Tripod but VERY disappointed about Horizontal Center Column ; it takes (1)Remove, (2)Unlock, (3)Remove,(4)Insert, (5)Tighten to make it a horizontal column...Why didn't Manfrotto apply the same mechanism as 190XPROB for the Horizontal Column??
I've been using mine for around four years now and as a full time working tog it gets plenty of use. In all that time it has never let me down and is consistently fast to use and a breeze to set up... I can't picture myself using anything else!
I went on a commercial assignment and another photographer had this tripod and let me use it on my commercial shoot. I love this tripod as to raise it you just pull the legs down to the desired height with no levers to turn.
Mainly used to travel with, its a very quick setup process and rock solid.

Shooting landscapes its very versatile and with the horizontal option for the middle column, you can fold out very flat indeed to get very close to the water for those moody seascapes.

This tripod is great for when you are on the move, it can be very quickly deployed with the quick release buttons located at the top of the tripod and just as quickly folded down.I find it to be very stable though it does loose a little of that stability with the centre column extended.
