The Manfrotto 190 Go! has a maximum extended height of 158cm and extendable legs divided into four sections. The swinging central column can be set up in either a vertical or horizontal position and, when coupled with a full spread of the latter, the minimum height is 9cm.
I've had this tripod for a year and a half now and it's served me very well. Whether on pro video shoots, astrophotography, or studio, it's done a fantastic job. The legs are sturdy and well made, especially for twist locks.
I bought this tripod in carbon fiber for light weight handling of my GH4. I find those current style flip levers on Manfrotto tripods difficult to operate, and after borrowing one from a friend and getting my finger tip pinched while flipping, told myself to shop for only threaded legs.
This is the lightest tripod that Ive ever owned! The size is perfect for attaching to my backpack. Easy to use & sturdy. My favorite feature is the center pole that can be used at a 90 degree angle. This feature is perfect for those straight down food photography shots or for macro shots outdoors!
Light but solid , vey good for travel . I love it .
I finally got tired of lugging my 3221W on trips and broke down and bought a true travel tripod. This is a great little tripod and works great with my 486RC2 ball head. I've now had it for 18 months and like all my other Manfrotto tripods, it works like just the day I bought it.
I bought this "travel" tripod because of its size and weight. I've now made it my everyday tripod. I've got a gimbal head on it, and I use it with a Fuji mirrorless including a 100-400mm lens. It's extremely stable, including the 90 center column. Couldn't be happier.
Light and easy to use.
This tripod is very well made, has very solid legs and is only slightly heavier than a comparable Gitzo. The Manfrotto also has some features of value, which Gitzo does not - specifically the center post which quickly converts to a horizontal post.
My first impression of this tripod was how sturdy is felt. I love all the features, including the overall height and folded compactness and its ability to get low to the ground shots. It is lightweight, yet beefy, and strong enough to handle heavy equipment. I'm hoping is will give years of use.
