This is my first large-diaphragm condenser. It is noticeably better than my usual go-to SM87 clones -- more air, more detail, more level. It picks up everything in the room so you have to be careful about extraneous noises. But it also gets a nice natural sound from my acoustic guitar.
When I started to do some research on a mic with great reviews and this is the best mic. For anyone on a budget and looking to saving money and still getting quality sound
Is there a difference between this and a 5k mic... yep but 99% cant tell the difference. Buy it. Plus it's cool to look at :-)
Preferred over a half-dozen other quality mics (shure/senn/akg etc) for my vocals. And It's cheaper than all of them!
I use this for a personal home studio and it suits my needs very well. Good response without added coloration. Very sensitive pickup. Great value!
I saw someone use this actually hand held in a podcast setting, and I was really impressed with the quality of the sound. The mic is really cute color-wise and has incredible sound quality. I am not hard on my P's or S's, so i didnt need an windscreen or pop-filter at all.
Has a nice warm sound to it. I like it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the MXL 990 or MXL 770. I use it mostly for indie music. Got it for $65 cant beat that.
I really love this mic... Beautiful highs, warm sound ...We bought a TASCAM portastudio and in the training video the instructor was singing the praises of this mic. I reseached it and found that it was considered the best mic under $100
I will be using this mostly for voice/vocals. Did not fit my shock mount from my Samson USB mic, but does come with a small mic stand mount that did the job. Has absolutely great response!
Sadly I have yet to use it, but saying that it is one of the most beautiful microphone's I have ever seen, the washed teal/green/turqoise mix colour is complimented by the gold casing in which you can see a glimps of the marvelous engineering inside of it.
