Well, the MSI GT62VR 6RD is a good machine overall. It has the usual I7-HQ + GTX 1060 6GB gaming performance. Thermals are generally good (with an exception). It also has all the basic components on the right point – quality keyboard, touchpad,and speakers (sort of), mDP and HDMI 2.0 ports.

The MSI GT62VR is a serious mobile gaming machine, thanks to a fast Core i7 processor, that can perform as well as a standard Core i7-6700K after you overclock it. It also has a fast GTX 1070 graphics card on board.

The MSI GT62VR Dominator Pro does what's expected, but at a rate indistinguishable from the competition.

I am RMA'ing after a few weeks of problem after problem, I think I'll wait for the next gen of pascal cards before pulling the trigger again. If this beast would work properly it would be an amazing machine and I hope that to others who buy this potentially awesome laptop won't have the same...

  Powerfu hardware specs

  From the beginning I have had various problems. Sometimes the computer wouldn't turn on and I had problems with multiple games crashing. Event viewer would show issues with the graphics card not responding or various problems with permissions that would require changes in the registry to correct.

I come from the Alienware universe and this product may not have all the niceties that come with the dell product but what it lacks is not necessary. Saved much dinero on this purchase and the speed is exactly what was advertised. I do a lot of gaming and this notebook is my goto backup rig.

Quite, powerful, not as heavy as I thought. Maybe because it was made of plastic. Inside hardware is good, but the built looks cheap.

While my preferences differ from anyone else, I did look at the other offerings in this price range from other laptop makers and I liked this one better. In terms of the display, trackpad, placement of interface connections and no optical drive.
