Logitech's clever Solar Keyboard Folio hooks iPad users up with a quality typing experience on the go, no USB charger required: it really does work as advertised.
-
+
The Solar Keyboard Folio charges using everyday light, has an excellent keyboard, and can automatically turn on and off and pair when the iPad's in range.
-
-
The outer case material feels flimsier then you'd expect for a $130 product, and the case feels too floppy to use for comfortable non-keyboarded iPad use.
Forget any notion of “going green” or saving the planet with a solar-powered keyboard, the K750 sells itself with convenience alone. Never have to replace a battery or recharge a keyboard again? Sign us up.

Conveniently solar powered, Solid wireless connectivity, Dead simple setup, Useful solar app, Quiet and solid feeling, Surprisingly affordable

Shallow Chiclet design, Glossy chassis shows smudges, dust, No indicator lights for caps lock, etc.
To answer our earlier question, Logitech didn't build the perfect plank, but the company did figure out ways to lessen most of the tradeoffs you'd normally have to make with a wireless keyboard.

Let There Be Light, Overall Design, Chiclet Keys (With A Twist), Unified Dongles, Media Keys

Quiet Key Presses, Move Along, Gamers, Feature Thin
This true no-maintenance keyboard eliminates the need for batteries. Because it's thin and flat, it's best for users who prefer a quiet, laptop-style typing experience.
-
+
Wireless, yet requires no batteries, Well-spaced Chiclet keys, Single receiver works with several devices
-
-
Shallow profile not to everyone's taste, No wrist rest or backlighting
Despite some things not working as I had planned, probably due to my own ignorance, I love the Logitech K750. It has totally erased my fear of battery death, eliminates one more cord, and looks so darn cool.

Solar rechargeable keyboard means it's always got a charge (even indoors). Top mounted on/off switch and check light are nice touches. Very sleek. Logitech Solar App (Windows only) only required if you want to geek out on your charge status.

No on-keyboard caps lock indicator. Although the K750 works on a Mac, I wish they made a Mac-specific version.
The Good Well adapted to the Mac. Comfortable, accurate, quiet typing. Potentially runs for many years; green. Full-size keyboard layout. Solar App simple but works. Good-looking; small, 'universal' adapter. Price is right. The Bad Sometimes tricky to get a sustainable charge.

Sometimes tricky to get a sustainable charge., No port to directly charge in a pinch., May be too wide for some users., Backlight would be appreciated.
One of my favorite features of my MacBook is the keyboard. I’ve always been a fan of chiclet keyboards, although I wasn’t aware of that fact until I started using a MacBook. Prior to that, I was, unbeknowest to me, not getting full satisfaction when it came to using standard keyboards.

Fantastic design, great feel and function, solar power alleviates the need for batteries.

Unifying receiver doesn’t work with all Logitech devices.
The K750's claim to fame is that it features integrated solar panels that eliminate the hassles associated with replacing or recharging traditional AA batteries. It's important to note, however, that the K750 isn't powered directly by the sun - it instead uses light (either natural or artificial) to...
A green peripheral that just works but considering its steep price, it’s not a keyboard for the masses.
Have you ever said to yourself, “I really like wireless keyboards, but a solar powered wireless keyboard would be better”? If so, then you are in luck today, because Logitech has asked us here at Legit
I was excited to replace the iMAC issued KB. I was happy with 99% of the functions. One of the things I noticed was there was a "Clear" button where the Num Lock should be. however, it works as the Num Lock anyways. Also, the Home and End keys don't work.
-
+
Good keyboard spacing, better than the MAC issued KB

At times it will not type
This is a very reliable, light-weight keyboard. Connects instantly and works under low light. I have now bought a second one to replace my other bulky keyboard. It would be nice to add the backlit feature.

Excellent connectivity. Works under low light.

The rubber tabs on the back could be better glued.
If you enjoy the chicklet style keycaps, then this is the keyboard for you. Fantastic feel, second only to mechanical switches. and it is laid out in a way that just makes sense. Awesome keyboard and I love that I never have to worry about dead batteries either!
The Logitec Solar App stops detecting the keyboard when the battery gets older, so you just have to play it by ear and charge it as much as you can. I have no idea why this is, but it happens.

Really nice feeling. Easy to type on. Thin. Can just charge on a windowsill with no cables.

The battery only lasted 1 year and 10 months for me. It no longer charges, and without any USB option, to plug it in you're just out of luck. When I first go it the battery lasts a very long time without any light source at all, but that greatly diminished over time.
I have this keyboard for 4 years now. It is very well built and sturdy. The keys are quiet feel smooth to type on. This keyboard is very comfortable. The best part is that it is solar and wireless I just pull it out of my bag turn it on without the hassle of messing with cables or having to replace...
I previously had the US version of the K750, which was an excellent keyboard--but I think the rechargeable battery died after about 3 years. Got this one, which turned out to be the international version (wasn't clearly mentioned in the description).
Nothing like having a solar powered keyboard like this. Apple should include these with all their desktop and laptop products. Love it! Having a spare rechargeable battery is added insurance though.
It's awesome, looks phenomenal, the buttons are well weighted, and the keys are well textured! I've owned the keyboard for 2+ years and my only complaint is that one of the rubber stickers which prevent the keyboard from sliding has vanished; small price to pay, hahah.
I was happy about this product, soft touch and silent, but it stopped functioning after 1 year. Despite enough light up to 500 lux according its soft indicator, it self-types q-key or does not type this key at all, then stops after few minutes of work (requires re-switching off-on).
I'm sorry to hear about other's troubles, but I've been using this keyboard for about two years now and not had a single problem. It really is the best thing since sliced bread. My partner bought one about six months after me and he hasn't had a problem either.
