The Logitech Wireless Illuminated Keyboard K800 is a worthwhile refresh with updates that include a Unifying receiver for consolidated USB port access, rechargeable AA NiMH batteries, and Logitech's comfortable PerfectStroke key design.

+
NiMH batteries recharge with Micro-USB cable; automatic and adjustable backlit keys; Unifying receiver connects multiple devices using single plug; PerfectStroke key system offers uniform tactile feedback.

Thin profile allows sacrifices design for durability.
This comfortable, smartly designed keyboard is best for those who prefer a laptop-style keyfeel. Unless you truly need wireless, however, its wired brother is a better value.

Smart backlighting, Stands on edge for storage, Power-saving features, Unifying technology

Pricey, Half-size F-keys, No dedicated media-file transport keys
Final ThoughtsAs I said in the introduction of this review I have been usingLogitech’s diNovo Edgefor the past 5 years and have always stuck by it. There are a few reasons for that.
-
+
– No software required, – Illuminated backlit keys, – Can change the level of illumination and when it is activated and turned off, – Comfortable keys for typing, – Wireless, – Easy charging via USB cable
-
-
– Short wrist rest, – Battery life could be better
Opinions vary as to what an ideal keyboard should be like. Logitech makes another attempt to win the hearts of those who prefer wireless devices.

High-quality of manufacture, Classic layout, High-quality scissor-switch mechanics, Ergonomically shaped keys, Best backlight implementation in the industry, Low noise when typing, Small dimensions, Replaceable batteries, Micro-USB port for recharging, Beautiful exterior

Short left Shift in the Cyrillic version, Easily soiled glossy surface, Short battery life, Faulty light sensor, High price
After the original Illuminated being such a liked and popular keyboard, the K800 was in for a challenge to keep up with the reputation. In our eyes it has succeeded in this challenge. It packs the same nice looks, backlight and ofcourse the excellent typing touch as the original model.

Feel when typing, Quality, Unified receiver, Quiet

Battery life (though expected)
Can the cheaper, but equally feature-loaded K800 be as good as the diNovo Edge? Definitely. At half it’s price it still a feature-loaded keyboard that puts its firmly in the premium category.
I can honestly say this keyboard is not right for everyone. It has some great and killer features but not everything is perfect. In fact, some of these features can be considered quirky and maybe even negatives by some.
Below you can see a summary of our impressions about the Logitech K800.

The best typing experience we’ve had to date, Illuminated keyboard, Sensor detects hand proximity to control brightness, Wireless (and can also be used wired), Long duration battery charge, Beautiful design

Fragile thin body, Battery compartment access through tiny screw
Had this keyboard for about a month, it works great! I've got it paired with the mx anywhere 2 mouse, both on the unifying receiver. The multifunction keys are great to have as well. I also really like the adjustable backlight on the keyboard and sensor.

- The multifunction keys are super handy, - Works well with the logitech unifying receiver & mouse

One of the biggest issues I've seen with cheap keyboards is the space bar doesn't always register when you hit it close to either end, this doesn't have any problem in that regard.
-
+
For the price I cant say much that's not good about this keyboard. The keys feel good, nothing loose or flimsy about them, they have a good solid feel as you type. No issues with sticking or failing to register key strokes.

A little light, weight wise. It might move around easily if you have it on a slick surface but it hasn't been an issue for me.
This keyboard is simply outstanding! Wireless with a great feel to the keyboard. I use it a lot at times when the lighting in the room is a bit marginal (along with my eyesight) and the backlit feature simply does its job, illuminating the keyboard for easy and accurate use.

Feel, backlight feature and its wireless! Great battery life.

Only con might be that the price is a bit high, but it's really not a con because the keyboard is worth every penny.
By far the best keyboard i have ever owned ! The service is always top notch from these guys as well.
Very pleased with the soft feel of the keyboard when typing and the lighted keys are great in a dim room. But for someone who might like to set the keyboard down in their lap while using (like I do), it feels too heavy.
The keys were too close together and some keys in wierd places were difficult to find. The keystrokes felt klunky. I bought a Seitek to replace it and it was less than half the cost and much better keyboard.
A new high-end feeling and functioning keyboard that can be used in any lighting situation allowing an easier and much more pleasant typing experience.

Sleek, low profile. Keyboard tactile response. Customizable settings.

This keyboard is my best-like computer accessory. You will find that it is priced a little above average for wireless keyboards, but I believe it is still a good value. The PerfectStroke™ key system is just right for me; the keystroke is relatively short, but not overly sensitive.
Pros: The keyboard is mostly as good as advertised. It does all it is supposed to do: the illumination is perfect, the soft-touch keys are quiet and feel great to use and it has a nice long wireless range.
This is just the keyboard I was looking for. Backlit keys instead of light underneath the keys. Plus they are laser etched so that the letters and numbers will not wear off. This is a very thin keyboard and I have been using mine for over a month and have yet to charge the battery.

The combo of illuminated and wireless is pretty nice. I also have a Performance MX mouse that shares the Unify transmitter. They both use NORMAL batteries that all go dead after a long enough time and number of recharges. It makes battery replacement down the road very easy.
