The $929 asking price of our review unit is about as expensive as this notebook gets. The base model starts at just $629, but the $699 model (as we wrote this) seemed to be the best value for general usage, given it included a 256GB SSD for storage instead of a large but slow 1TB hard drive.
Great-looking display, Excellent battery life, Good keyboard and touchpad, Built-in fingerprint reader, Ample storage expansion capability
Ho-hum looks, Cooling fan can be noisy, Gets pricey with options
The Ideapad Flex 5 includes a 15.6-inch IPS display, Windows 10, and Intel Core i-series processors.
I love this laptop! Sleek, light-weight, back lighting is great and it's fast to start up from a shut down. I also like the keyboard is not super loud as you type. Display is crisp and bright; I really like this laptop!
This is the first PC I've bought in 20 years. I've got four macs (MacPro, Mini, iMac, Laptop) and only Macs at work. Feature for feature this computer beat EVERYTHING out. A somewhat equivalent Mac is $3600 with no touchscreen Works like a charm Would have given it 5 stars if it had a built-in...
I have found this unit to be extremely easy to use. The speed is outstanding. The keyboard has been very responsive. I have no complaints.
I am so in love with this laptop. I haven't started to get into the full details and usage of it, but so far, it is an amazingly built laptop. Thanks Lenovo.
Excellent purchase. Excellent product. I crazy with my new laptop.
I like a lot about this computer, and overall I am just satisfied, one thing I wish I knew before my purchase; be aware that it is not a standard keyboard, the right shift button is missing/moved and replaced by the up arrow, if you are used to typing on a standard keyboard and use the right shift...
Great laptop, its sleek and very light. Great power, being and engineering student, it meets all my needs!
This computer is great. The display is sharp, the sound is really good. The boot up is as fast as the Lenovo website described. I have had no issues with crashing, getting stuck, etc. This is a world apart from the Asus I had before.
I really want to like this computer, I spent about a week trying to get the usb type C port to work. No luck. This means I can not use two external displays. my second 30 " monitor is now a paperweight. I tried 4 different USB-C to HDMI hubs and adapters, no luck.
I bought 2 of these for my kids and they said the love them. They love the display and the battery life.
