OLED technology and a higher screen resolution hike up the price of this version of Lenovo's Thinkpad X1 Yoga, but this business convertible performs well, boasts plenty of features, and now looks even better.
-
+
The OLED display is vibrant, crisp, and a first for the industry. Convertible design is lightweight and durable. Comfortable keyboard. Built-in stylus.
-
-
Expensive. OLED display decreases battery life. No USB-C or Ethernet ports.
Lenovo’s pricing changes frequently, but our review unit currently sells for about $1,800 (with $125 added if you want the OLED screen). That’s a lot of money, but it’s not unusual for the category. The Toshiba Satellite Radius 12 maxes out at $1,400 with a Core i7, but only has a 256GB SSD.
-
+
Lots of connectivity, Excellent keyboard and touchpad with trackpointer support, Stunning display options, including OLED, Core i7 performs well, and is affordable, Long battery life
-
-
Too large for extended tablet use, Mediocre display contrast, Runs hot under heavy system load
Lenovo goes all-in with the ThinkPad X1 Yoga 20FRS1VS00. The icing on the cake is the OLED screen. Our review update will find out how the flagship convertible from Lenovo performs.
-
+
light and well-built chassis, convertible features (360 degree hinges, Wacom Digitizer), excellent input devices, OLED panel with perfect contrast and huge color gamut, long warranty
-
-
outdoor capabilities of the screen, average battery runtime, very high price
With a wide array of ports that includes two Thunderbolt 3 connectors, a snappy keyboard, colorful display and more than 12 hours of endurance, the ThinkPad X1 Yoga would make a great business laptop, even if it weren't a 2-in-1.
The best 2-in-1 Yoga Lenovo makes gets even better with the addition of a stunning OLED display.
-
+
The new OLED display looks stunning, and this professional-level Yoga has a great keyboard, active stylus, and rugged body.
-
-
It's not as thin or light as the more consumer-oriented Yoga hybrids, and adding the OLED screen is an expensive option.
We still think, as we thought in March, that Lenovo's 13.3-inch Yoga 900 is a better value at hundreds less than the X1 Yoga. But it's getting harder to maintain that position.
-
+
Extra-sharp, high-contrast screen, First-class keyboard, Light yet sturdy
-
-
Expense on top of expense, No USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port, No WWAN option
Final Thoughts There's no question that Lenovo has a really nice utlralight machine here in the ThinkPad X1 Yoga. The X1 Yoga builds on the pedigree of Lenovo's excellent X1 Carbon line with innovations in the 360 degree Yoga hinge and integration of the ThinkPad Pen Pro, which can offer significant...
I haven’t used a Lenovo laptop as my main computer for years. In fact, the last time I touched a Lenovo laptop for more than a few hours was when I used to manage a fleet of them in a corporate environment before joining The Verge .
-
+
Beautiful OLED display, Chiclet keyboard, Light and portable
-
-
Unreliable battery life, Aging, boring design, Unnecessary nub and trackpad buttons
With the added versatility of the four Yoga modes, the ThinkPad X1 Yoga definitely takes the best from the ThinkPad X1 and Yoga lines and combines them for a truly versatile business ultrabook.
-
+
Great performance, added versatility with the Laptop, Stand, Tent, and Laptop modes. ThinkPad Pen Pro is a great addition for even more convenience.
-
-
Battery life can vary greatly depending on ultrabook usage. Definitely on the pricey side.
Lenovo's ThinkPad X1 Yoga is more than the sum of its parts. It may not be at the top of the heap if you look at the performance, battery life or display numbers by themselves, but in practice, I found it did everything I needed to do and did it well -- and was, in fact, a joy to use.
-
+
OLED screen with rich, vivid images; thin and lightweight; backlit keyboard; includes stylus; good security features
-
-
Expensive when compared to similar systems; doesn't use newer USB-C port; screen doesn't completely lock flat when used as tablet
This is a very low-quality product. I reccommend that you do not purchase it, especially at the price. Buy a Dell.

I've had this laptop for about a month anger is still running smoothly. I love the OLED screen. It seems more clearer and lively. I also love how it is super light weight. The only problem I had with the laptop is that it is a little pricey.
I had a 17.3 inches HP, and my boyfriend bought this product for me as a gift about 20 days ago:- The touch-pad is not very responsive. The tapping doesn't work properly; I sometimes should use the click buttons instead of tapping since it doesn't work.
it is a great laptop i can use it for anything
I have the OLED version topped out on CPU and with 16 GB RAM and a 256GB SSD. The system is blazing fast, the screen is vibrant and beautiful. The transition from laptop to tablet is seamless and I find myself using the "Yoga" in every different angle.
I am quite pleased with the Thinkpad X1 Yoga. I have an X1 Carbon and I was looking to add the tablet versatility to my daily carrier for work. I was also looking to keep with the same look of the Carbon and the same strength of the outershell. I am very happy.
After more than a month of use, my X1 Yoga is exactly what I was looking for in a new laptop. Business-class hardware and software, lightning fast biometric fingerprint scanner for security, a retractable locking keyboard when flipped into tablet mode (pure genius!
Bought this in December to replace my T430s i5 running Win7 ultimate as it was feeling long in the tooth. I really love the trackpoint on lenovo(if you do not care for trackpoint, save the money and buy X910).I decided to go all out on the X1 yoga.
