Luxury for the executive level. Ultrabooks are normally designed for home users – but that's not always the case. Lenovo's ThinkPad X1 Carbon, for example, targets affluent business customers who are willing to spend almost 2000 Euro (~$2800) for the top-of-the-line version.

light and sturdy chassis, very quiet, large ClickPad, integrated UMTS modem, backlit keyboard, input devices offer great feedback, good viewing angle stability (90°), very good battery life, spacious SSD with 512 GB capacity, semi-matte touch display, HDMI & Ethernet via dongle, Gone are the clunky...

very high price, integrated touchpad mouse buttons, webcam quality is marginal, lacks true Fn-keys, Innovation can also have its drawbacks: the redesigned touchpad without dedicated buttons and the rather unusual Fn function-row is going require a serious adjustment period for long-term ThinkPad...
If you disagree, come back in a month or three. We'll probably give an Editors' Choice to the OLED screen version.

Sleek and slender, Winning keyboard and stylus, Solid performance

Expensive, No USB-C or Thunderbolt port, Screen wobbles when tapped
Good sir! You have outfit my ThinkPad X1 Carbon with the power of touch! With the rather obviously named ThinkPad X1 Carbon Touch , Lenovo brings its flagship ultrabook into the Windows 8 era, adding a touchscreen to the package but leaving most of the rest of the device unchanged.
-
+
Excellent combination of performance, portability, and durability. Still the best keyboard going. Trackpad issues resolved. You want bells and whistles?
-
-
Probably the most expensive computer in its class. Screen not as impressive as the previous generation. Battery life upgraded, but still not enough.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Touch is a good successor to the first generation X1 Carbon. It retains almost everything that is good about the original while adding the touchscreen many people value in a Windows 8 machine.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 has a backlit keyboard, edge-to-edge gorilla glass screen, the infamous click touchpad, and high-fidelity Dolby sound, and it has some serious processing chops. Its standard battery, however, is unimpressive.
-
+
Sturdy construction. Gorilla glass is scratch-proof. Backlit keyboard. Great typing experience. HDMI and DisplayPort. Fast 2.5-inch HDD. Standard Voltage processors only. An excellent mix of wireless technologies. Dolby sound is worthy of entertainment laptop.

-
No Anti-glare screen available. Standard battery alone doesn't crank out enough battery life. Hefty for an ultraportable without an optical drive.
For Lenovo, the fourth time's the charm. The 4th-generation ThinkPad X1 Carbon gets the business ultrabook formula right with a keyboard, screen and battery life that live up to their promise, wrapped up in a durable, 2.6-pound package.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 is clearly a product for a consumer business, so a strong focus on quality, neglecting the design slightly. The strengths are a body strong and resistant to falls, an ergonomic keyboard and spill-resistant, the fingerprint reader to protect your data from prying eyes, HDMI,...

RAM, USB 3.0 port, memory card reader, fingerprint reader, spill-resistant keyboard; Chassis resistant to falls, Bluetooth and optional WiMax.

Internal memory, not eye-catching Design.
Lenovo has rolled out a variety of business-chic ThinkPad laptops over the past few months, as well as the wonderfully flexible Yoga 2 Pro . We’ve reviewed several of the company’s devices in recent times, including the T440s , the X240 , and the ThinkPad Yoga.
The Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon Touch is the rare notebook that does just about everything well, from performance and battery life to its touch abilities and superb display. Its $1,399 price tag is relatively high, but if you want the best, it is worth every penny.

+
Thin and light, ultra high resolution display, great performance, folds flat on tabletop, good battery life, innovative "adaptive" keyboard

Expensive, touchpad overly sensitive
When I reviewed the X1 Carbon, Lenovo's flagship ThinkPad laptop, I found few faults. It's an eye-catching computer that combines everything good about ThinkPads – great keyboard, sturdy design,...

Touchscreen works well, Gorgeous, sleek design, Solid performance, Great keyboard

Gets really hot, Expensive, Too much bloatware
Firstly, the same review I tried to post few days ago on Lenovo website and it was rejected as ''it did not meet all our website guidelines''. It should be a big warning sign for potential buyers as Lenovo controls which negative reviews can be posted.
This laptop is lightweight with plenty of power and features, but has several annoying problems:
-
+
Fast
-
-
Battery life, Awkward Touchpad, Fn controls, heat
A great business laptop. I wouldn't get it as a personal though. All of the things that you want in a business laptop with none of the creature comforts of a full-sized personal.

Great business notebook. Super thin, super light, fast. I love the feel of the keyboard. The battery charges fast and the display is nice. DisplayPort for the home dock, solid state drive, user friendly feeler pad, blue tooth, 3G sim card slot, usb 3.0, and dual band wifi.
-
-
Being so small, the feeler pad is directly under your palms. I had to get used to the feel of that. The charger port is fairly large, about usb sized, which can be mistaken for a usb port in the dark. That is something that you just have to get used to. The battery advertised 8 hours, I think.
I wanted a product with high speed processing power, user friendly in terms of modern technology, sizable screen size and indeed strong and light to carry. I like the product because it has given the experience I really desired from a laptop.
