The Leica T (Typ 701) features a stunning aluminum unibody design, but it's not as robust as its price tag implies.

Stunning design. Integrated Wi-Fi. Big 3.7-inch touch-screen LCD. Customizable interface. 16GB internal storage. Supports in-camera charging and includes external charger. Come with Adobe Lightroom license.

Expensive. Slow autofocus. No Android companion app. Proprietary strap system.
The Leica T, like many Leica products, can be a mixed bag. It raises expectations about unprecedented quality with its shiny metal body and high retail price, but quickly disappoints when it comes to the most basic functions such as the lack of an exposure lock button or the slow and unreliable...

Beautiful aluminum body, Clever battery locking mechanism, Large touchscreen display, High-quality optics, Very good image quality

No tiltable display, Unorthodox menu system, Slow and unreliable autofocus, Wi-Fi connections not stable, No exposure lock button
One hundred years is a long time for any company to survive, especially in an industry that’s gone through as much change and upheaval as cameras. Leica’s been able to thrive, however, even though its products are exceptionally expensive and serve a niche user base.

Beautiful design, Solid build quality, Good image quality

Very expensive, Slow, Clumsy ergonomics
I But Leica’s style is unique, and rightly so. What a camera like the model T does is invite the shooter to be creative; to entertain new ideas, and display them with the lighting, color and effects that some call the “Leica effect.
Carved out from a block of aluminium, the Audi-designed Leica T is one sexy and sleek camera that can be said to be the Miss Universe of the mirrorless cameras. From the company famous for its rangefinder cameras, the T certainly has brought the mirrorless market a notch up.
So after only one week of using and shooting the Leica T I have come to the conclusion that while not perfect (no camera is), the Leica T is a fabulous mirrorless solution from Leica.
Beauty in photography can be represented in many forms and has different meanings. But if we associate the word with the actual tool, in this case a camera, it is usually a question of aesthetics: “It looks nice” “It looks modern” “It looks ugly” and so on.
Leica's new compact system camera has a killer design, a brand-new lens mount, and lots of fresh ideas.
A whole new camera system from Leica! A mirrorless form factor with a 16MP CMOS sensor, Leica T-mount interchangeable lenses and two lenses available in May, plus very distinctive styling like no other camera on the market right now.
A great camera, but only if you think the premium engineering is worth the price.
A very polarizing camera. I find it almost difficult to write my thoughts on it since I know how upset people get when someone says that they love this camera. Some get angry because they don't think its a proper Leica. Some because they can't afford it. Others because they don't get it.
Love the imagequality and the ease of use. The menu is a relavation. Downside pricewise, the electronic viewfinder is a must for long reach and m lenses.
Finally got this at a sale - brand new , and the only comment I can make is : Leica should stick to making cameras or better still lenses, and leave writing of the firmware and software to the professionals. I am a M user and have / still used M6, MP, M8, M9 , M9P , M240 and X2 , V-LUX.
