The Leica Summarit-M 75mm f/2.4 is a double Gauss lens incorporating six lenses in four groups. There are three lenses each placed on the front and the back the aperture, with the lens reducing the field curvature arranged closely to the image plane.

I recently purchased this lens to use on my Monochrom M. I have primarily been a 50mm user but decided I wanted something a little longer for street photography. I am a bit reluctant about drawing peoples attention when street shooting so I thought the slightly longer reach of 75mm would help me to...

I own all four Summarit-M lens. With the right film and camera, this lens takes great photographs. It's also a beautiful lens. I use it primarily for portraits. The Summarit-M lenses are comparable to their more expensive cousins.

I read the reviews, and wondered if my experience would measure up. Well, yes, it did and I am very happy with my decision. The lens is critically sharp, and that is something that I value.

If you are looking for the best manual focus lens between 55 - 90 mm for your A7x, this is the ultimatum choice. Razor sharp, nice bokeh for portraits. Equally great for landscape. Small, light. Better resolving power than Apo 75 (see Sean Reid test). Easy to focus.

I just got this lens and used it in Africa. It is not inconspicous particularly the silver version. Keep in min that adding the lens-hood, which one should, doubles the length of the lens.

I had previously owned a Leica Summarit-M 35mm F2.5 lens so I was already familiar with the Summarit products as Leica's budget line. When Leica announced a refresh of the Summarit line-up, I paid attention.
