The Leica M-P (Typ 240) is a premium version of the standard M with a scratch-resistant rear LCD, extended shooting buffer, and inconspicuous designâbut it's priced at a premium as well.

Big, bright optical viewfinder. Large, high-contrast rangefinder focusing patch. Full-frame CMOS image sensor. Compact for a full-frame camera. Live view with focus peaking. Detailed images at every ISO. Excellent build quality. Sharp rear LCD. Resistant to dust and splashes.

Very expensive. A little slow to start up. Manual focus only. 1080p video could be better.
No need to explain how great is the M240, the M-P 240 is one further step to the masterpiece. Great performance, build, IQ. First, the design of M-P is to keep it at low profile, I walked my M-P on street couple of times, even if i got the Chrome one, nobody got caught attention by the camera...
The current Leica M-P Typ 240 is one of my most often use camera these days for the fact that it is without doubt the very tradition Leica M camera at heart, but it is also providing some more electronic advantages that is useful for modern time.
Finaly save money to get one Leica the best, I love it
I finally get the item I've wanted for a long time and it's everything I knew it would be. I read every text on the Leica M Typ 240 that I could get my hands on... so I was quite familiar with the cameras operation.
As a long time SLR shooter, the rangefinder has taken a bit of a learning curve. However, this has also reignited my love for photography. Not having everything done for you makes you think about your photos and not just blast away. I love it.
This is a beautiful camera coupled with a silver lens. It is less likely to draw attention without the distracting red Leica dot. The near silent shutter is perfect for street and candid photography. Last but not least, the sapphire crystal of the LCD screen is almost scratch proof.
Have been very happy with my Leica M9-P, but this newer Leica M-P (Type 240) surpasses it in many ways. Most importantly for me as my eyes get older, it is much easier to focus. The photos are a bit sharper than with the M9-P, which is to be expected since the sensor has a higher resolution.
This is the great camera especially for travel I have new released Canon 5DSR with the 50mp as well but when I compare pictures of Leica M-P 240 and Canon 5DSR colors are amazing and more natural in Leica and sharpness noise level is great even in very high ISO but #1 difference of Leica with all...
