The LaCie Porsche Design Mobile Drive 2TB may not be the fastest USB 3.0 model in our charts but it follows the fastest ones closely so in real world use I doubt anyone would be able to tell the difference.

I purchased the 2TB drive for my wife's iMac-1TB HDD in March, 2014. Using it as a time machine backup. I wanted a USB powered backup drive with double the capacity of the internal HDD (as recommended). The matching aluminum case and compact size made this a good choice for the iMac.

Supplied USB 3.0 cable is black, had to purchase a white one to match the Apple design...lol
It's a great option if you like design. Nonetheless, it seems quite fragile! I may be wrong but I have a LaCie Mini Rugged and I'm more confident of taking this one to work everyday, while the LaCie Porsche will stay at home for just personal-private use.
Effective external Photographic backup device - lightweight, fast. I use 2 in the field and 2 for slide shows with an 11" MacAir..
Nice drive and wonderful LaCie case; I had to reformat and repartition so that I could get one volume. It was originally set up as two logical volumes for some reason. Got to know how to do that...
