The LG SL6Y is a decently well-rounded 3.1 soundbar. While it has a dedicated subwoofer, unfortunately, its bass response is sub-par and music or movies sound bright and piercing and are lacking thump and punch.

Does not play loud. U have to put on 31 to hear it. Not like the other LG sound bar that I got. It was cheaper.

I am hard of hearing, with two excellent digital aids, and had no major problem with existing speaker in the tv. So I bought this soundbar in good faith hoping for at LEAST parity in what I could hear, especially of speech, but particularly of MUSIC, and classical music mainly.
Really happy with my purchase, good crisp clear sound ... The Dolby Virtual surround sound fills the room and is crisp and clear ...hi Res sound is sharp and clear , you can pair your phone to the soundbar ...and you can stream from your phone ...all in all I'm really pleased with my purchase.
Easy to set up and great sound. Would recommend!!!
