I am actually using this to cool my 500 square foot garage. Works amazingly well. Very quiet. Powerful air flow. On the hottest, most humid days it might consume 1 kwh of electricity per hour until the room reaches temperature, then it will use maybe .3 kwh at most per hour to maintain temperature.

Some have likened this AC unit to the whisper of a fridge or computer fan. I wouldn't go that far, but it does go out of its way to be quiet starting up, operating, and shutting down. I can finally sleep soundly and use the AC during conference calls, which I couldn't do with a GE smart AC unit.

I have a small living room. The old ac was super loud. So i was looking for a quiet ac. I did the research and got this at the end. I'm so disappointed about how loud it is. And it don't cool up my living room. I set up on 68 on high for whole day the room temperature never go below 79 degree.

I was looking for a smaller unit for my space because the window has a slightly smaller than average opening. The size of the space required a larger unit, and this was the only one that had a short enough height to fit. It is quiet, and we don't have any issues with rattling. It's a great unit!

The LG Dual Inverter is the quietest window AC I've ever owned. My previous model was a12K BTU, extremely loud, and developed mold. This one is a 9K BTU and takes less energy to cool off 3 rooms. It's also a lower profile in size and I have more window viewing space than other makers.

I had a window unit that started making a loud squeal so I started looking for a replacement. I landed on this unit. I usually look at the 1 and 2 star reviews on major items. This unit had some strong dislikes but I decided to try it. Installation was a simple.

Very satisfied. Very quiet. Well built. Manual doesn't explain some settings but customer support was helpful.

This is literally the quietest non-central air conditioning situation I've ever been exposed to. My not-particularly-old Friedrich AC was waking me up intermittently throughout the night every night. Game changer--

First impressions: this is a big ac unit. It's bigger than most of the other window ac's I have had of similar but class. The portion that sticks into the room is smaller, but the portion that hangs out the window is quite large. It weighs 72 pounds.

It was so quiet. Now the fan sounds like a very old prop plane. The fan sounds like it is scraping when it starts. It did have dented outside vents…not sure if that is the issue. Might need to return if I can we have only had a short time.
