LG’s ambitious 34UC89G is certainly a step in the right direction for ultrawide monitors. High refresh rate screens are just starting to make their way to the aspect ratio, and this initial effort by LG shows how much smooth gameplay can facilitate immersion.

An excellent monitor. One of the few curved monitors that can actually keep up with the my GTX 1080ti video card. With various FPS games such as PUBG and Battlefield 1 - I have no issues and average around 80 - 120 frames per second (fps) on ultra settings in even the most intensive battles.

Looks like I'll be the first reviewer to post something more than "Amazing monitor!" First and foremost: these ultrawide IPS panels in general are notorious for having manufacturing defects that nobody willing to pay $1000 for a monitor is prepared to tolerate--and for good reason.
