I like this monitor. It is an ultra wide so though the monitor sounds big, it really isnt as large as you may think. So games will not use the extra space so that part is a bit of a waste. That said sitting a normal distance away you do have to turn you head slightly to see the edges of the monitor.
Color quality is stunning with 98% DCI-P3 coverage. Not great for reading text -- it has a low PPI. It's not a upgrade over an 1080p monitor in that regard. Make sure you understand that although the spec says it's 75 Hz display, that refresh rate is only available under AdaptiveSync or GSync mode...
I love this monitor for so many reasons. It has worked well for me, and i'm just using the hdmi input with my Mac Pro (trashcan). I do video editing so having this as my timeline screen has been great. The only drawback is the colors out of the box have a little over saturated and contrasty.
If I could change anything, I think I would have went with the curved screen instead. But I love my 34" monitor. I am a writer and primarily use the monitor for Word documents, but I also design book covers and LOVE the brilliant colors on the display. I'll never go back to my two 24" Acer monitors.
I use this monitor mostly for business and productivity. It's worked great. No issues reading don't in docs or excel. The colors on videos and streaming movies is also awesome. I use this with a thunderbolt port on my laptop
I absolutely love this monitor. I spent so much time researching what to get and I’m so glad I settled on this one. It’s brightness is perfect for sunny weather (I have mine in front of a window) and nighttime. Picture quality and colors are great. Great size too!
Great form factor for people who prefer to have a single monitor for multitasking rather than a dual monitor setup. Excellent colors and thunderbolt connectivity works well with mac
The screen is great, I got two of this for my home office. It’s really nice to work, have space for many applications and the picture quality is excellent. Im reviewing with 2 stars because after two months it broke down. I’m contacting LG support for a fix or replacement.
I use this monitor exclusively in portrait for coding, and it works great. I have no problem with text clarity.
Did quite a bit of research on 21:9 Ultra wide Monitors w/ USB connectivity and landed on the LG. This particular model provides excellent value for those looking to improve work productivity, Very happy with the performance so far.
