Hey, not the world's greatest monitor, but definitely adequate for my purposes (reading humongous spreadsheets). Slightly unusual to have external power "brick" (provided), but it does mean that if it ever fails, you can replace it without having to buy a new monitor.

reasonable price lots of real estate

stand doesn't hold the monitor perfectly horizontal (left to right) flimsy mounting of panel at rear that holds connectors
Great for the price but a real bummer that 1) the stand post in the back is not easy to remove (we had to disassemble the monitor) and 2) the power button is a knob that sticks out from the bottom so if one was to custom mount (which we did for our office environment) the monitor has to float an...
I bought this monitor despite reviews about the wobbly stand b/c of it's features, size and great price. Otherwise, would have given 5 egg rating. Plan to get a wall mount or other desk mount for it. Totally worth it!

Large, Beautiful display and great features like IPS...

Wobbly stand & doesn't come with HDMI cable.
Great monitor, very slim, sleek design and very light weight. The only very minor gripe is that the menu controls are sorta difficult to work with. It's right underneath the "LG" logo, on the bottom side of the monitor frame.
This is identical to the 24MP57HQ-P found at certain blue-polo having big box electronics stores. I bought this one to match, and can confirm they are identical aside from the kind of box they came in. I will say 24" is about as big as you should go with 1920x1080 before upping to 1440p or higher.

Large, looks good, wide range of color options, cool power button/menu navigation method. Have two of these set up and might grab a third for school and a cool eyefinity array if I get a new GPU. Anyway, crisp and bright.

Some slight backlight bleed as with most IPS displays. Only 1 HDMI and no DVI or DisplayPort.
The picture quality on this monitor is exceptional, but make sure you read about what ports you're getting first. The application is fine if you have an HDMI supported video card, like I do, but I feel that all monitors at this point should still have VGA and DP ports.
LG tends to deliver good quality at good prices, but the iffy panel on the back of this monitor has me worried. That said, it's really the only bad thing I have to say about it and I wouldn't be nearly as concerned if I didn't have small children that like to fool with my stuff.

+ Great picture quality + The menu/power control knob is kinda neat

- FLIMSY back panel where the connections are. It's so bad I was really concerned I'd break something plugging my cables in! -2 eggs for this.
Bought this monitor to use with my lap top. Plugged it into my laptop, installed the disc and every thing worked better than expected.
This monitor has completely changed my computing experience and I've only been using it for about 6 hours now. Coming from a 1080p HDTV having to use 720p only this is amazing. Would love to pick up another one down the road for dual monitors.

The stand is kinda weird to put together but it works and isn't too wobbly. Only two inputs (1x HDMI, 1x VGA) - not a problem for me but could be for others.
Does not have a DVI input as advertized, it's HDMI and VGA only. No DVI or HDMI cable included cannot set this up
