Honestly, I believe its a great great monitor despise of the "cons." I use an HDMI cable and its great! Shape, crisp, detailed, and its not a room heater.

Been using it for 2+ weeks and its great! Its light weight and doesn't get hot (that was a big problem with my old monitor I used previous). Does get a bit warm after 3-4+ hours of use but not hot. - Its not a room heater. - Its bright - Looks sharp

1 thing I find as a con - the power button is very odd. Its just one button and it sometimes lags to turn it off. Like I have to press it once and then press it towards myself to turn off and sometimes it likes to lag and takes a few tries. This isn't a con for me, but might be for someone.
Really didn't like the joystick which was a combination menu+power since you couldn't turn it off with one click. I also couldn't get the onboard firmware it to match the colors from a previous LG 23 inch monitor running off the same graphics card so I ended up returning it.
It is really important to know the differences between LED LCDs, and pure LCDs, and the technology they use for the liquid crystal matrix! Let me put it this way. My primary monitor used to be a Viewsonic VX2250WM. The LG 23Mp57HQ-P has replaced it.

Fantastic viewing angle. Sharp, crisp images. Easy set-up. LG Software they push on you CAN be useful (see other thoughts)

Technically none, but see other thoughts
Great monitor, set up took two seconds, love the color setup stuff and the little joystick like button used to go though settings. The colors and clarity are great. Granted i come from like a tiny sqare monitor that surprisingly even had a dvi output.
It's not obvious how the settings are enabled since there is only one button on the whole thing, but once you realize the power button activates the settings menu when the display is turned on, it is really easy to use. Basically, the power button is also a joystick.

The display is light, bright, and very sharp. Much better than even the highest resolution non-HD monitors--duh!

Does not include a HDMI cable, not even a cheap one.
I just got it. It works great. I wanted a good monitor for programming not gaming though. Maybe the only bad thing is that there is only one button below the screen and you have to use it to move between the menu, other than that it works amazingly.
If it had a DVI input it would be perfect, but I can do without one.

Awesome picture, clean look, sturdy stand. High build quality.

Cloning app doesn't work with iOS, or the version of Andriod my device supported. Menu is somewhat frustrating, but I never use it.
No DVI port, but no issues if you have a VGA to DVI adapter. Picture is comparable to my other 23" LG DVI monitor, but is a little thicker.
I have 4 and love them
Been working flawlessly for over a year
