The idea behind Klipsch's Reference Theatre Pack is simple: bringing the US speaker brand's house sound, beloved by owners of its floorstanding models, to those with small rooms/budgets. Our test package is actually two products combined.
I have mixed feelings about this sub. I will be upgrading to a 12in eventually. Its has good sound, but it can't handle the gain that built into it. It will bottom out on lower tones, but handles mid bass very well.

At normal listening levels its great!

If cranked up, it will bottom out.
I've been using the R-8SW for several months now and its proven to be a great purchase. I purchased it as a replacement for a much larger subwoofer and I don't regret the change. Loud and discrete-looking, I think it's perfect if you live in a relatively small space but still care about getting that...

Exposed downwards firing cone (be careful when moving, etc...)Generates a rather loud punch when turned on
I purchased the R-8SW to complement a 12 inch subwoofer that I own. Let me tell you that the Klipsch subwoofer has improved my 7.2 system beautifully. The tight bass of this unit improved my movie experience, and drastically improved my music audio.

My audio system is in a finished basement with tile floors so it is very unforgiving. The R-26F's have bass for sure, but I wanted just a little more OOMPH. This is perfect. I was afraid that an 8' sub would be insufficient, but it is PERFECT and blends seamlessly with the floor standers without...
I live in a small apartment. I have the R-15 system and only use it for digital music. On stands they were lacking bass. This subwoofer did the trick. It's perfect for my application. Love my Klipsch products!

Attractive, Compact, Durable, Easy To Set Up, Good Audio
I bought a pair of R-41PMs to update a failing 10+ years Bose speaker setup for my PC. The speakers deliver clear, crisp, powerful sound. But in my opinion, and just as a personal preference, they needed the extra boost of a subwoofer.
I purchased this to add to the new pair of The Sixes (which are excellent). I prefer a lot of bass. This did the trick. Not enough for home theater but perfect for my 2.1 phono set up.
