We bought this a year ago and love the layout of the inside. It holds so much inside the door shelves and in the drawers. It's seems like it holds twice a much as the last built in we had that was the same size. Also, I'm so happy that there aren't super techy features.
We purchased this for a kitchen remodel, knowing that the bottom freezer was a priority for how we function. The price was a bit high, but we knew the good reputation of KitchenAid. The design is incredible and thoughtful - we chose the stainless interior. The lights are fantastic: bright and clear.
Nice having the space above; however, the doors slam shut if left alone. The lower door for the freezer is hard to open due to the suction and the ice drawer is very uncomfortable. Definitely should have purchased a side by side with the ice maker.
The interior space is well utilized , functional and changeable. This is a great unit!!
Replaced a 22-year-old Kitchenaid built-in side by side. Roomy and very user friendly. Happy so far!
We bought this refrigerator in 2008 when we remodeled our kitchen. Until a couple weeks ago when the ice maker quit making ice, it has worked flawlessly. In spite of the ice maker, I would highly recommend it and would buy it again. Going to replace the ice maker unit with a new one.
A new master control board was not available for my very old panel front KitchenAid side-by-side. I replaced it with this beautiful french door model and skipped the expense of panel front -it is beautiful just like it is.
Product is excellent, but when the ice compartment gets full and you open the drawer, the ice cubes fall in back of the bottom drawer where they cannot be retrieved. Miss not having filtered water as part of the refrigeration system.

I was originally in the market for a replacement refrigerator when we started our kitchen remodeling project. I wasn't really impressed or satisfied with my choices, until I gazed upon the Kitchenaid built-in refrigerator. First of all, it is a beautiful addition to our new kitchen.
