I purchased KRK's first passive speakers over 20 years ago and was amazed at the sound. These speakers maintain that reputation. They have clean accurate low end, which is a challenge on smaller speakers.
I am not disappointed by these speakers! Whether playing live &/or recording with these speakers or mixing/mastering music, these speakers (especially with a KRK subwoofer) will help to make a "professional home studio". Connect it to your Apollo System, and listen to what happens!
These monitors are great for the price, they sound good and are built reasonably well. However I would not recommend these for critical mixing / mastering. They have a artificially emphasized low-end response which is great for enjoying music but not mixing.
It took me a while to get them situated, I had to build shelves just for them and then install them in my studio. Once I did all of that I finally got to try them out and they are perfect. I've got them at the recommended height and distance for my listening point and they sound great.
After searching numerous brands and monitors styles, finding the KRK Rokit 6 was the best option. Great quality sound and it carries a good punch for the low frequencies.
Got these for my Kawai MP11 and they are really nice. The sound is perfect and the speakers are top quality. They were actually bigger than I thought, which isn't a bad thing, and they are built very solid. These are top quality and I highly recommend them.
I bought these monitors because I have a new interest in music production. I'm no music engineer so realize I am just a beginner, but that being said, I have a pretty good ear for music, and I'm really picky when it comes to sound.
If your building your first home/project studio or are even looking for a good pair of monitors just to use for your stereo or television these are excellent for the price. In terms of mixing you have to make sure you listen to your mixes through a few different setups and not just these as I have...
Awesome sound!!! I like the bass sound as well.
Great product, highly recommend it!
