This banging party machine brings your favorite tunes to your next party. The bass can be quite boomy, but it's sturdy enough to survive a dunk in the...

Surprisingly good, rich sound, Strong weatherization (it's rated IPX7), Voice activation and speakerphone functionality

Boomy bass, JBL Connect app is rudimentary; should offer EQ
The portable JBL Xtreme 2 speaker can be submerged in water and still pump out loud tunes with intense bass depth, making it ideal for outdoor use
-
+
Powerful audio performance with strong bass response and crisp highs. Waterproof. Solid mic clarity for speakerphone.
-
-
No track navigation buttons. Bulky. Not for purists seeking accurate audio performance.
It's for people looking to have a good, loud time.
The JBL Xtreme 2 offers big sound in a relatively compact form factor and convenient carrying strap. Regardless of all the features, the price might be a little steep for some.
One of the best portable speakers around, the Xtreme 2 offers sonic subtlety you wouldn’t expect from first impressions

+
Clean, clear sound, Balanced bass, Solid design

-
Big, No wi-fi or multi-room, Presentation too grown-up for some
It might not be the prettiest speaker ever, but the JBL Xtreme 2 is designed with purpose and highly practical for outdoors use thanks to its carry handle and robust, water-resistant design. It thumps out the sound too, which is where it really wins.

Loud and crisp sound quality, Massive and clean bass output, Practical carry handle for carting around, Robust build quality and water-resistance

Hardly a super attractive design, Not 360-degree sound output, No built-in assistant/Alexa support
JBL Xtreme 2: With great sound and a versatile design, this is the best outdoor speaker of the summer

Multipurpose design, Incredibly loud, Impressive sound quality

No virtual assistant built-in, Expensive
Great speaker. Loud, clear, crisp audio in a portable form factor. Fills up large rooms with ease and when in stereo mode it really shines. Don't be scared of this price tag, it's worth every dollar.

Clear loud crisp audio even at high volumes.

Not much to say here.
I purchased my xtreme 2 months after searching for the best available outdoor portable BT speaker. After watching youtube reviews i made up my mind to purchase it. It looks nice, the case is strong and durable. The sound is clear my only problem which is the biggest dissapointment is the max volume.
I think the JBL Xtreme 2 is as well made as the Charge 3, which I already own. It could probably be a bit louder, but it does sound great and I highly recommend it!

Could be a bit louder
a even after paired for some time, still will not play beginning of song, processor slow. b has feature to charge other USB devices, if you use it, it ruins the battery life down to 15 minutes at high volume and 45 minutes to one hour low volume, that is disgraceful and the main reason rating is so...
I love the aesthetic/design and clearness of the speaker, however Im very displeased that the day my Xtreme 2 arrived in the mail, the 1.6 update that increased max volume and bass was pulled. Youtube reviewers stated that the update fixed most of the problems with volume, yet It was still removed.
Can't say enough about this gutsy midsize speaker. Great bass, crisp highs at all sound levels. I was going to upgrade the stereo in my 04 CRV but don't need to now. Just put this guy on the back seat and stream away!
Bigger and heavier than previous model while having less bass and less volume. Looks like you have to get the more expensive and less portable boombox if you want the volume and base now. On the positive side, the build quality is excellent and it does have good clarity.
