My local service agent for Harman\JBL in Auckland New Zealand refused to service my faulty JBL PRX710 even though I offered to pay for the repair on this new item. The fault is a constant 'static crackling' sound commencing immediately upon power up which I now understand is a common issue with this...
We have a Pro Sound Company in NJ and we own 6 of these PRX710's as well as several other Active Speakers (QSC K10, K12), Yamaha DXR8's, Peavey PVXP12's -AND- we also have all the Big Passive stuff (JBL VRX & SRX, CROWN iTechs, QSC PL's, etc)....These PRX710's are great for some of our shows...
Serves its purpose well for the applications i use it, small house/backyard/rooftop parties and then as a monitor or remote speaker when I DJ. I was surprised with the bass response and how loud it can get.
Very good speaker and great bass in my opinion better than prx612 also it dont have the static sound.
dot waste your money, sound like garbage when cranked!! buy a qsc
Works great. Easy to use and install
Upon first impressions (only used it twice so far), this speaker is amazing. I'm comparing this to my PRX612. I've also owned the JBL Eon G2 15-inch speaker as well. I think the 612 sounded better than the G2. And this 710....amazing, in terms of clarity and bass response.
