We use a pair of these at our coffeehouse. It's a wide, 300 seat room. Two of these speakers replaced our four JBL MR-925 speakers. We had two of the MR-925 's set up on each side of the stage to get the wide dispersion that we needed for that wide room.
We searched for a replacement of our old speakers for our 200m² audience room, which we use mainly for talks and sometimes for music. Important criteria was a good coverage of the room, that the sound was spread evenly, no "sound shadows", a natural and smooth sound and good hardware quality.
About as dumb an idea as you could come up with. A 1000.00 solution for a 200.00 problem. 16 one inch tweeters will NEVER achieve the directivity or projection of a simple horn. The J shape does partially solve the near field problem, but don't expect projection beyond about 25 to 30 feet.
