Excellent mini PC I love the option that I can configure the hardware, according to my budget. It is small, light and transportable. Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133 MHz SO-DIMM Memory Kit (2 x 16GB) - Samsung 500GB 960 EVO NVMe M.2 Internal SSD - Microsoft Windows 10 Pro.
Great value --- super fast --- easy to install memory and disk --- small quiet. I can't say enough good things about this. I use it for desktops and for small business servers. The only negative is slight...
I love this little PC. It's blazing fast and very quiet. Even when pushed to the limit you barely hear the fan. I opened it in 30 seconds, installed a 16GB crucial DDR4 2133 ram module and a samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD. It now flies. I also like that is very light and you can easily move it around.
It is really fast but the turning on is not very consistent sometimes it wont turn on and have to press a few times. So I just decide to leave it on at all times. I like how it does come with two plastic covers. The one without the skull helps make it look more for office environment.
I added 32GB of RAM and the samsung 950 Pro M.2 SSD drive and it works great. Very fast for most uses I presume. I use it at a little steam machine mostly and it runs games in low/medium settings relatively well with the integrated graphics.
Love this little thing. I have a thing about running distributed computing projects all just about all my machines and this hyperthread Intel NUC is humming away without over-heating. Also kind of fun having this little box running a 34” monitor.
Good product for server role as essi VMware host. Seems to be reliable and fast (with nve drive)
Just bought 2nd one of these, I use them for trade stations. Had an HP Elite Desk also, but the motherboard just went out on it, so, replacement. First one has been up and running for a years worth of focused trading days with no issues. Very fast, runs two 1080p 27's and a 46" 4k seamlessly.
Bought this NUC to use as a workstation for Autotrax DEX and Fusion 360 CAD and as a portable home computer. The on-board graphics seem more than adequate for this type of use and for now, I see no need for an external GPU.
I've been using this Intel NUC Skull Canyon for over a year now. It works great for my computing environment. Here's a breakdown... Pros: * Portable, but powerful * Enough connectivity including USB 3.0, DP, HDMI * Thunderbolt 3 - connection works with external GPU * 6th Gen Core i7-6770HQ - I ran...
