The HP LaserJet Pro M402dw monochrome laser printer delivers a balance of speed, paper handling, and running cost that's suitable for a workgroup or small office.

Duplexer. 250-sheet drawer and 100-sheet multipurpose tray standard. Maximum 900-sheet paper capacity. Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and NFC. Supports Cloud printing.

-
Low-quality photo output, even for a monochrome laser.
Granted, we did find the high-yield version of the cartridge sold in places for low enough prices to get the CPP just under 2 cents—but nowhere near the ideal target of 1.5 cents or less.

+
Solid print quality, Respectable print speeds, Compact footprint for a mono laser, Energy-efficient, Loaded with mobile features
-
-
Moderately high cost per page, Small input and output trays
The $399 HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401dw bundles all of HP's latest technologies into a tight package, but the 3.5-inch touch-screen display doesn't offer enough unique features to warrant the price jump to $400, especially compared with competing devices.

The HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401dw's direct USB port, wireless connectivity, and remote printing features offer a variety of ways to interact with the printer.

HP Smart Install only works with Windows, and the flimsy touch-screen display impedes usability.
According to the HP LaserJet Pro 400 Printer M401dn Review, it can be judged that this printer has been designed for speed and attractive output. But this office printer makes use of a high-priced toner and absurdly expensive memory, which means using it will definitely cost your pocket.
The HP LaserJet Pro 400 Printer M401dn is priced at Rs. 32,724. It’s a flexible network printer that lets you tweak your settings and requirements while you operate it. The complete package – the extra features like the Print Apps and scheduling, the quality and the speed of the prints make it a...
The HP LaserJet Pro 400 is a well-featured printer that has strong specifications for use in the office. The M401dw model has excellent connectivity alongside an accessible (if unreponsive) touchscreen.
The HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401n monochrome laser printer is a good fit for micro and small offices that don't need duplex printing but need high-quality output and good paper handling otherwise.

High quality text. Ethernet. Total 300-sheet capacity standard with 50-sheet multipurpose tray. 800-sheet maximum.
-
-
No duplexer, even as an option.
While it won’t win any speed records, this auto-duplexing laser offers superior print quality at a reasonable price. (The per-page cost is decent, but less so if you print a lot of pages.)

+
Excellent print quality, Color touch screen, Auto-duplexing ADF, Large paper-input capacity, EPrint and AirPrint support
-
-
Relatively slow for its class, No Wi-Fi connectivity
The HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401dn monochrome laser printer is slow, but it?s a decent fit for micro and small offices that care more output quality than speed.

+
High-quality text. Ethernet. Built-in duplexer and 300-sheet capacity standard. 800-sheet maximum.

Slow.
We only use HP for desktop printers. I've tried Brother and Samsung. Brother laser printers drink toner and the Samsung didn't last as long. I changed out a HP1300 recently because it was a eye sore and the plastic aged to be different colors.

Low Maintenance. We have 4 in offices and 2 in shop areas. Have had them since they first came out about a year ago. No problems once they were up. I only use HP toners. Gave up on refilled toners long ago.

Power and USB connections are at the very back side of the printer. Would be nice if they were recessed a little.
I had my last hp printer for about 15 years. It ran so well but finally needed a new one. This model is the updated version. Great performance, fast output and easy to use.
I only buy HP printers for my office and have never been disappointed. This model is small and quiet and is faster then its predecessor.I only wish it had a bigger paper tray, The 550 sheet feed I bought was more than $100
Needed a printer that prints on the top side of the paper. HP associate told me that it did, but she was wrong; it prints on the underside of the paper. I had to return it.
We are a manufacturing facility and we use this printer in the lab for formulations. It prints cleanly and quickly. We are thinking seriously about another one for the shipping dept. The unit is light weight and has a small foot print so it can be put just about anywhere.
I will buy again. This is a great printer. They also price match with another vendor with a lower price.
Need a Paper Tray for 500 sheets

Paper Tray not big enough (250 Sheets)
This is one of the smaller printers I have purchased for our office, but it performs like larger printers. Performs the tasks that we need printed and takes up less space on the desk. Would recommend or purchase another.
