Text quality is at the low end of the range for monochrome laser printers.
Having worked with many multi-function printers over the years, this one is by far my favorite so far. It's worth a little extra money to get good quality.

-Easy to set up -doesn't jam -prints well

-toner is somewhat pricey
I purchased my new printer on 7/29/16 and I absolutely love it. I was not able to connect by wireless because my scanning utility would not work properly. I connected by usb and it works great with that connection. I can't print from my cell phone but hardly ever use that so it's okay.
If you are using it as duplex printer this feature comes from factory with this option disabled. Quite an effort to enable it and not in the manual or online reference at all.
Very good multi-function printer from HP. Here are what I like and it works well.1. high speed at 40 ppm2. fast first page, start printing right away3. scan into all format JPEG, PNG, TIFF, Bitmap, XPS, and PDF; Scalable PNG is especially important for my work4. can use HP OCR fast and easy5.
Initially there was a little bit of a delay in moving forward with the purchase of the item because the first person that helped me wasn't familiar with the order. But once the right person got involved, it was a pretty smooth process.
Not what we would choose if the budget was available, BUT for all it does & the warehouse environment, it does a stand up job. Our IT person does not like these all-in-ones. But even he is amazed at how well it has performed!
This is best Printer, Scanner Fax Machine, Copy I have ever Purchased. Its the real deal. I actually have purchased two of these because they are so good!
