Display is a non-touch LCD.
If, however, that’s not an option, this single-function color laser printer holds up well to its competitors. It seems that the real question is whether the excellent print quality, speed, and all the other perks gained from the recent technology updates are worth the extra you pay in purchase price...

Fast print speed, Excellent print quality, especially with small fonts, Multiple expansion options, Stylish and well-built

A bit pricey, Full set of four high-yield cartridges is more than $1,000, Wi-Fi module costs extra, Many mobile options unavailable without Wi-Fi upgrade, Cost per page too high
“Enterprise,” of course, means busy, or relatively high-volume—a whole lot of printing going on. When I wrote this, the M553dn was on sale for $200 off, or $599.99. In either case, a single-function printer would need to be special in one way or another to justify either price, but of course it’s a...

The HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M553x is fast, with features galore, a high paper capacity, and very good output quality. But some businesses might not want to pay the high price for more features than they need.

No integral wireless
This is a big printer for companies with big ideas. It's fast, flexible and delivers stunning prints.
I've only had the unit for less than 4 months and we use HP toner and paper. The problem firsts appeared when we were getting streaks of color on our prints. If you print about 2,500 copies per month, you'll start noticing the issues a lot quicker.
I have only had this printer for a few weeks and I will update this review if there are significant changes. I worked at a school that had HP printers and those printers were work horses. Kids would print tons of pages and I went through cases of paper on a monthly basis.
The manual feeder is on the side of this printer instead of the front, so you need to have two of the four sides clear. One side to replace toner, the other side to use the manual feeder. A little trickier than my last hp which had both on front.

The colors on this thing is fantastic (for a laser printer). It can replicate even the most subtle shades of color. It is fast, solid and has full Linux support. I love this thing

I've always been pleased with HP printers, however this one does great on black and white text, but the color mix on images is very poor. Returning this one ;(
HP Enterprise m553 is awesome in every way! Does do CardStock Perfectly! One big Tray and one side tray. Doesn't curl pages, Extremely Fast. Easy to Connect Software.
I have only had the printer a short time, but am impressed with how it performs. It is very fast as was marketed. It is much quieter when working than expected and then goes into a silent mode, which I really appreciate. I do a lot of duplex printing and another model I had did not identify copies.
I have purchased more than 50 laser printers in the past 30 years. Everyone happened to be a lemon in the end, either costing enormous money to purchase the ink cartridges or other parts. This HP appears to be the kind that I have been looking for a long time.
I purchased this printer because I needed a printer with two or more paper trays along with super fast printing and wireless capabilities. Turned out that this printer is not truly wireless although it is advertised as such.
Still in the early stages, but I've used M551's and they're rock solid. I expect many years of printing from this model too.
