Let’s get this thing out of the way: GoPro is the best in the business when it comes to making compact cameras that take quality images and videos. There is just no second thought about it.
For a 360 camera, the Fusion is as complete as they come, but it hasn’t completely propelled the category to the next level, as we had hoped when we had our initial hands-on with the product.

Best-in-class stitching on desktop, ProTune exposure controls, Solid build quality, Great mobile app, OverCapture offers flexible reframing options
-
-
Mobile stitching is far inferior to desktop, Fusion Studio on desktop feels very unfinished, OverCapture lacks keyframe support, Sharpness is still a sore point of 360
GoPro Fusion review: At the moment, the GoPro fusion would well be the best affordable 360-degree camera.
Now, this is the first attempt by GoPro to make a 360-degree camera and we are hugely impressed by what they have done here. GoPro has shown that this not so old and still evolving technology can be done right only if you choose to correct the finer details.
The GoPro Fusion’s headline OverCapture mode lets you get some really creative video from your VR footage.

+
Great image quality, OverCapture delivers compelling traditional footage, Easy to use
-
-
Transferring footage through the app is slow and fiddly, Limited Android support for OverCapture, Relatively expensive
The GoPro Fusion lets you do more with 360-degree video than other cameras, but its mobile software experience could use some refinement.

Captures 360-degree video at 5.2K resolution. OverCapture brings life to 360 footage. Photo and time-lapse modes. Rugged build. Strong image stabilization. Compatible with GoPro mounting system.
-
-
Pricey. Video stitching requires some serious horsepower. Mobile OverCapture editing tools need a little work. Huge file sizes. Gets very warm when recording.
The GoPro Fusion is the company’s first attempt at a 360-degree camera, and while it does capture very good footage, it’s not the easiest camera to live with. First, there’s the need for two microSD cards at all times.

High-quality 360-degree footage, Rugged and waterproof, Bundled Fusion Grip is handy, Overcapture works well

Fusion Studio software is glitchy, No built-in storage, Android support is bleak (for now), Expensive, Processing 360 video can be cumbersome
Overall, the GoPro Fusion is a 360-degree camera that's stupidly simple to shoot with and capable of producing very impressive video. Its real win is OverCapture, though, which on iPhone is utterly brilliant.

OverCapture 'pan within footage' software is brilliant, Footage looks fantastic once edited in app, Waterproof and durable build, Easy to shoot, Very versatile, Fusion Grip included

No OverCapture for Android (yet), It costs a lot, Learning curve is steep if you've never shot 360 degree before, Desktop solution is hard work
Spherical cameras seem to be one of the more undesired tech trends to be pushed on people in the past couple of years. Consumer tech companies have opted to develop these expensive products as a segue into capturing the user-generated VR vertical, but with VR itself in a rather tenuous position, the...
So I don't think any consumer/prosumer level 360 camera can beat the quality of the GoPro Fusion. It's so crisp and dynamic range is so nice! Stabilization is amazing. I really hope GoPro can keep developing this line.
GoPro Fusion is a huge disappointment. I have over 4 days worth of footage, and the software will not render them. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! Too many people have teh same problem.
The camera is simple to operate. Stitching the files takes some time (on my MacBook pro) but its worth it for the flexibility it offers as a b-camera on shoots. With the lenses sticking out the way they do, you do have to treat this camera with kid gloves (by keeping it in the case and not setting...
This camera is amazing light and easy to use. It creates amazing 360 videos using its 2 camera recording to 2 SD cards.the software to create the video from the 2 videos is not fast and requires a very fast PC. 1 hour of video can take 24 hours to convert on an average desktop PC.
It takes great pictures and great video unfortunately, rendering takes an incredible amount of time (as in hours). I rendered a video with the Fusion Studio app it took me 17hours to do an 8minute 11 second video at 5.2K. File size was extremely large 53GB.
For the cost, the GoPro 360 camera puts out an amazing picture. The video files take a long time to convert using the GoPro app, for use in editing in Adobe Premiere but once in Premiere you can do cool stuff with the video and output a beautiful 360 video ready for YouTube or elsewhere.
I love this camera. I've been excited about 360 photography for a while now but it hasn't been mainstream enough for an amateur user. The GoPro Fusion is changing all that. Quite simply with this camera you can record high quality video and stills and upload them to YouTube and social media with...
The fusion studio is pretty is to use for stiching photos and editing videos. Battery last a long time, can usually get 90min - 2 hours of continuous shooting on one battery.
