It is an overview. Hope the figure attached will help. Apologies for the overcrowded information. Gitzo company does not provide much information. This is the reason of 4* rating. At the top/shoulder part of the tripod, Gitzo Systematic, IMO may be one of the best tripods, due to the built in...
I've owned a Bowen 3021 tripod and 3047 3 way head for over 20 years. I chose this model because I'm now shooting with a Nikonian D7200 and a Nikko 200-500mm f/5.6E. I chose the Nikonians/Markins 20i ballhead. The whole rig weighs less than what I had before and the stability is much better.
I was using a Gitzo Series 3 but bought some bigger glass and decided to move up to a Series 4. In addition to the greater stability, I found that the GT X5X2 tripods have added a lot of great features compared to the GT X5X1 tripods.
I wish I would have saved up for a Gitzo years ago! I've owned a lot of competitors tripods in the past, but none have compared to this. Solid!
Sturdy, Well made & can handle big lens
Lightweight, Stable, Quick, Fast, Strong, and many others! I recommend this tripod 100%!
I use the tripod for wildlife photography and it provides a sturdy base for heavy lenses. Very fast setup and and legs securely rotate in place. It even comes with replacement feet and replacement parts should a repair need to be made on the leg locking assembly.
Sturdy well built, it opens and closes so easy it is unbelievable. The weight is so light. No owning this tripod I will never go to another brand.
I am a nature photographer and the Gitzo is built for the outdoors. This is the new series 4 and the new weight limit and design have made it even more desirable. And BH has done exactly what they are so great at, great service, pricing and are just great to deal with.
I use the Gitzo Tripod togethre with my Canon 5D Mark III with telelens maonly for wildlife pictures but also for macro pictures at very low levl on the ground. The weight of the tripod and the stability are great. I didn't discoverless positiev features
